Whoa! It took 4 months of back and forth with banks and realtors. It took like 50 different versions of a contract, and the collective minds of NASA, but...

I FINALLY CLOSED ON MY HOUSE! :KREMZEEK:

I'm in shock at all the sudden being a homeowner.

Congrats! Some stats on the new pad or some pics would make this thread a little more interesting though. ;)

^ It would be cramped.

To be honest it's only a 850 sq ft house. 2 bedroom ranch on a slab. So it's nothing to really brag about I suppose. It's kinda old, built in '53. So yeah most people would probably look at it and say big deal. But it's my first time buying. And for just me living there full time, it will do for now. Get some equity built up and sell it in a few years I hope. Til then, it's better than paying rent! Yet it barely costs more then my rent. hehe.

Congrats. The first house you own is a special one, even if you don't really own it. you're just rent-to-owning from the bank. but whatever works. :P

Kinda late to the party, but many congrats and th ebest of luck. My wife and I bought our first house 3 years ago, a brick 20-story Georgian. Very old, built in 47, but owned by a single family until us. It's hard work, don't be fooled, but it's worth it.

While we were shopping, I told myself that I would never complain about shoveling snow or mowing the grass. Pretty sure I've upheld that, too. I would shovel the entire property with a soup spoon if I had to, I love this place.
