Robot Chicken Star Wars

I was incredibly excited to see this, but was met with disappointment. Parts of it were very funny, but it had a lot of recycled footage. I'm guessing close to 15 minutes were recycled, meaning it was only 15 minutes of new content. And the creators' "interviews" were pretty annoying and pointless.

I'm guess I'll catch a little heat for this, but I give the episode 2 big thumbs down. (Especially for including the George Bush/Lincoln duel)

Well of course they're going to reuse some of the Star Wars bits from the other shows. Hell, the Palpatine Call was the entire reason Lucas let Robot Chicken do the Star Wars special.

Plus, I don't see how the GW vs Lincoln scene made it bad, GW thinking he's a Jedi, and Hulk Hogan doing the voice for Lincoln, and them fighting, funny as hell.

I assumed the Palpatine call would be in there. I find that bit to be absolutely hilarious. Also, I'm just not that big of a Robot Chicken fan. They are a little hit and miss in my book and the Bush thing just wasn't good enough to be recycled. The special was promoted as a half-hour event, and I just feel a little cheated that it was pretty much a regular episode worth of new material.

The Power Converters were great, though! That one even took me a few seconds to pick up on.

it was okay, but I was slightly dissapointed at all the recycled stuff that got used.

With me never having saw any of the robot chicken star wars clips, I fully enjoyed the whole show. Funny as hell.

Hell, even my wife, who is a little tired of all the star wars going around the home lately, laughed her ass off.

I loved the Boba Fett clip.

I really enjoyed it. The Palpatine call still makes me laugh even though I've seen it a ton of times. And I really loved the Ponda Baba sketch. He was just misunderstood!

It was kind of funny but the recycled footage but hey, whatcha gonna do...

The host segments were funny as well... at times.

I don't have an exact top five list of favorite Robot Chicken sketchs, but the Palpatine Call sketch would be on it. I laugh my f'ing a$$ off everytime I see that. I agree that some weren't funny (like the continuous janitor cleaning up the guys who die and *what ever his/its name* doing the singing that was just plain stupid). Yeah, that one with the bar misunderstanding was really good and original and, just like in the actual movies, the clip with Ackbar was hilarious.

See, I thought that was one of the funnier clips. I had aways wondered, especially in Mace "This Parties Over" Windu's case, what happened when he hit, and what about the person who saw it happen. They all seemed to just fall and disappear never to be heard from again.

Also the best clip. "Martiniiii!"

Yeah, there was some recycled bits, but they said it was going to be a half hour star wars special, not 22 minutes of brand-spanking-new star wars based bits. Learn your legalese before you complain...

And I'm the Retardicon.

Some people will never be happy, ever.
And they are in luck! Jack Kevorkian just got out of jail not too long ago...
I think you can get his number on Yellowpages.com, tell him you want the 'push-button' special...

Expectations > Reality --> Desire = Suicide

Math is fun!

And at the risk of irritating people a little bit more I'll go ahead and say that I have high hopes for the upcoming Transformers Animated series. Just like the movie, I'm not going to cast judgment based on one (or a few) images. It looks pretty *different*, but that could be good as long as the animation is high quality and the scripts are engaging.

I thought it was great. Recycled bits didn't bother me because they were good. Don't understand why we have a society that is so into new new new. People chill. You want something new do it yourself. Some people it just seems nothing is ever good enough.

My wife and I were coming back form our vacation and we crashed at a hotel in Mobile, AL. We don't have cable, 'cause we don't watch much TV. However, The Star Wars Robot Chicken was on in the hotel room, and we both laughed our @sses off!

I enjoyed it, but it may be because the only other Robot chicken that I have seen is the one with Michael Moore asking where the action figures of yester year were, the one with Soundwave's new occupation as a Port-O-Let.
