I found this link on IMDB tonight and was wondering if anyone had any information as to whether or not this DVD set will be released in the U.S.????

Here's the site address

http://www.gpstore.co.nz/DVDs/1541518.html

If anyone has any info let me know....
Thanks

Haven't heard of a US release, but that does look nice though.

That's from Madman. It's an Australian/New Zealand release.

Didn't they already release G1 on DVD a couple years ago?

Yeah, but a lot of people I know could hardly find them anywhere, and when we did they were way overpriced

Actually the original Madman releases were reasonably priced (around the same price range for a season boxset) and weren't that hard to find. Some volumes are still in stock in different stores when you look around.

I'm just not impressed that Madman is putting out a boxed set of boxsets with some fancy packaging and a couple of other extras, and it's nothing more than a cheap money grab and they never seemed like the company to do that. :?

Must be an Ohio thing then.

I hear everyone complain about not getting the new Transformers and what not elsewhere...we still have the first line of Classics, still some Energon and Cybertron and even some Universe stuff.

You'd think by now this stuff would go on sale or clearance :-(

I hear you there, sometimes it seems like forever for things to go on clearance down here as well.

I have all of G1 I bought it over time from getting gift cards to getting them on my own and as a birthday presents

It'll hurt if DVD goes the way of videocassette in favor of Blue Ray

You need to move Northwest about 40 miles. When the DVD's were released Best Buy had them on the shelves forever. The only series I ever had trouble finding was Beast Machines. And that was because it was put in the childrens section.

Don't the HD-DVD and Blu Ray players also play DVDs as well?

I also have the G1 DVD sets, plus the movie DVD from Rhino. I have all the Transformers DVD sets except Beast Wars Season 3.
