Anyone catch the first hour episode? Wasn't expecting much with the style of the show but damn, the first episode was dark.

Just not a fan of the animation style. Really wanted to get into the show, and yeah, the darkness of it was good, but blah ... eyes do not like what the eyes see.

Saw it. The show started out a little slow, but once they got off OA it got a lot better. The action was good, and yeah I was really surprised how dark it was. Poor Red Foreman died saving his planet :-( . Very well done and meaningful death though.

I was quite surprised that Hal took Razer's ring, and the plot of them being stuck in alien territory for nine months means it'll have a relatively small cast to draw from and that could lead to some very good characterization.

Nice bits of humor mixed throughout. I laughed out loud when the Guardians banged on the ship and pointed for them to go down.

Now for voices!! Zilius Zox is voiced by Tom Kenny! His performance sounds a little simlar to Animated Starscream, and I think that's awesome. Kevin Michael Richardson(Prime Bulkhead) as Killowog? Sweet.

All in all, it'll fill the hole that Batman: The Brave and the Bold recently left quite nicely.

Oh, and the DC Nation shorts? Honestly, a weak first outing.

I hear that most of the other light spectrum Lanterns will be showing up too. As a fan of Blackest Night and the current GL comics.. color me excited.

I have no idea how he does that, he's in like 50 shows right now.

As for GL:TAS, I was watching it and my dad sat down to watch the second half. While they were trying to disarm the bomb, he chimed in with a sarcastic "I wonder if they'll stop it!"

Then they didn't stop it. Didn't see that one coming.

After each one, I couldn't help but ask "What the hell did I just watch?"

I would be more surprised if they didn't show up.

I loved the darkness of the episode (like many others apparently), although I don't like how it's set out in the middle of nowhere. To me the GL Corp was a neat group where you can always see new and interesting aliens within the corps. I don't see that happening right now with the current location of the series. I suppose that may change later on, but right now it's lacking that epic feeling.

for a few minutes, I thought that all the people died on that planet too.

I'll continue watching it, just to see where it goes.

I enjoyed it, and will likely continue watching.

I love me some Red Lanterns.
