For any of you Lord of the Rings fans out there, The Hobbit trailer is finally here.

You must simply wait, until next December.

This gave me goosebumps. Kinda sucks we gotta wait a whole year. Don't like waiting that long for awesomeness.

Kind of a crappy trailer. Half of it was random character names and singing. I'm still going to see it though. I'm reading the Hobbit now, actually.

I just realized that all of the posts so far are from Prowls.

Looks awesome so far. I just hope they don't make it like a straight-up prequel to Lord of the Rings. Let The Hobbit have it's own fantasy charm, and try not to go too heavy on LotR references (at least outside what was in the book).

Yeah, I'm one of those "The Book is better than the Movie" jerks. :-B

Goven how Peter Jackson treated LOTR, I'm confident the Hobbit is going to be great.

With this being divided into two movies, I can't wait to see how they are going to handle the whole epic adventure.

Now if they can just get off their duffs and adapt the Silmarillion.

As much as I love the Silmmarillion, it's not gonna happen. It's not nearly as well known as Tolkiens other books. And not to sound blasphemous or sacriligous, but making a movie of it would be like making a movie of the entire Bible (both the old and new testaments), there's too many events and characters.

Well don't judge the songs in the trailer to harshly those are throughout the book and more so. I was hopping that the trailer would give some sort of hint or appearance of Smaug but whatever maybe if at the end if you heard something like "What the F^ck is a Baggins?" . I won't nit pick about Peter Jackson's trend of changing character's personality but still Thorin and the others tried to take care of Bilbo.

I should probably go read the Hobbit. Always been procrastinating about it. Can't wait to watch this and to see all the actors reprise their roles
