The reason I hate that Trojan pig commercial and it is something I doubt anyone else would think

Ok, I agree that people should practice safe sex and I do understand the joke that men who want to have one-night stands without wearing condoms are "pigs".
The problem I have with that commercial is that it makes it look like that all a guy has to do is show a woman he has a condom and she instantly decides to go ahead and do it with him.
I think that this is sexist towards women. There, I said it. I told you that it would be something out there and different than what is being discussed about it.

It's not only sexist towards women, but also men. There are many many men who don;t just want sex, but a meaningful relationship. I'd know I'm one of those men.

Yeah, I am one of those men as well, but I know that the men at bars are pretty much those other types who are "pigs". I just think it is stupid because if they want to educate people in safe sex then they should have kept with those simple commercials with a couple with the text about STD facts.

Whole thing is being blown out of proportion. Fox was one of the stations to ban this commercial and they are one of the worst networks as far as sexism and rascism goes.

I don't give a cr@p one way or another about that; I just think it is bullcr@p that they did the commercial that way because it is like they are trying to trick people to buy condoms so they can make profit rather than convince people to use condoms because it is appropriate to practice safe sex.

Don't look so much into it. It's a frikken CONDOM ad! It's supposed to glorify one-night-stands.
Reading between the lines is for conspiracy theorists and people who look for stuff to get mad about.

Well not everyone goes to a bar for a meaningful relationship. Welcome to human nature, I don't believe you've met before.

For once I agree with Shadowman.
If you're offended by something you see on TV, then you shouldn't be watching it in the first place.

Sitting down on a couch, you watch, a _ slave to a tv show. you thought before but you sat and dropped. what did you learn? you don't even know, and i kid myself but my eyes are glued on this thing. it steals my time and wastes what i've learned. i'm holding out for a better deal,
for something real. you know i'd like to say that i could spend a day at home with it left off. how strong's our will? i can't blend with the ads i see. they're better looking than me. you try to look your best, but you'll never rest. think, it won't make you happy. a standard set that i just
cannot live up to. it steals my time and wastes what i've learned. i'm holding out for a better deal, for something real. you know i'd like to say that i could spend a day at home with it left off. how strong's our will? our lives are led by tv shows, you know it's true. instead of thinking we play
donkey kong. there's something wrong with that. we're made to think life's like a game show. so there we go again. the one to die with the most toys is the one who wins. i just can't stand it. sitting down on a couch, you watch, a _ slave to a tv show. you thought before but you sat
and dropped. what did you learn? you don't even know. it's a brain vacation. a mental masturbation. it steals my time and wastes what i've learned. i'm holding out for some reality. i'd like to say that i could spend a day at home with it left off. how strong's our will?

No, condoms are meant to use in safe sex not to glorify one-night stands and that is what is wrong with this commercial and why I am mad at it. Also, being mad at something is not the same as looking for something to be mad at for the means to be mad.

They put something in the condoms. They WANT us having casual safe sex. It spreads the mind-control juice they soak the things in.

Sad thing is, that if they did a similar theme about woman, some advocacy group would have protested, the commerical yanked, and Trojan would issue a public apology. But since it's about men, and all men a pigs until they decide to buy a condem and have "safe sex" (apparently), which somehow undoes the whole pig thing (which I don't get). The whole thing is idiocy rolled up in incompetence, put on a side of cliche.

I agree that it's blown out of proportion, but that doesn't mean that a
stupid ad can't spark
intelligent discussion (which it has). I think the questions raised here obviously go to much bigger issues.
Also, the crack about Fox was incorrect, unfounded, and inappropriate (I smell somebody with Fox Derangement Syndrome

). Please do some research before making a rediculous statement like that.
EDIT: I also think that this topic may be more at home in the Philosopher's Forum.

Me, I just laughed at the ad. I thought it was cheesy.

I love logic.
Oddly enough, a few months ago I
had the opposite occur where a nice looking redhead I met at the bar and then kicked it with till 5am, was basically "ready and waiting" without so much as clue as to who I was or had done, and didn't even ask if I had any protection. Just so happens I didn't because I don't screw chicks on a first meet-up - that's my rule. Thank God I didn't do more than make out with her because I found out later that day she had a kid AND was with someone!
But hey, men are pigs after all...

Man dont have feelings or sexual rights-its a fact. Look at the evidence in the media-off the top of my head the episode of fututrama where they meet teh amazons and the men are put to death by snu-snu, its funny, reverse the gendre roles and it is something only spoon would watch
Its society, its life, deal-anyone who thinks other wise has prop never had a sexual relationship
