Actually, to be blatently honest, I read it somewere. And to anchor that argument, I dont remember WERE! 8-}
I think it was some Q&A or something like that. They said that that he had died early on due to a long life frozen in ice. I kinda combined that with what my friend had said. After watching Korra, we know it's been at least 70 years, right? Seeing as how he was there for 100 years, tack on 70, plus the 12 he was said to be in the show, id'e say add a year at least during the show's progression for good measure, and your looking at someone who is over 180 years of age. It was my friend who got me into avatar, and he was the one who told me Aang died at an early age. I didn't fully believe him after watching Korra though, because he said Aang died in his 20's.
I guess I was thinking on both sides of the spectrum there for a minute when I posted about his early death. I need to talk to my friend about that. Everything he thinks he knows is wrong. And no, the friend is not me :P

BUT to keep this thread outside of Avatar waters, I wanted to say I just watched the original movie Fist of the north star. It was a bit confusing. Not so much the story, (though the way some parts were illistrated were confusing) but the fact that I know there is a series connected to that movie, I just dont know if the episodes come before or after the movie. I like the movie, but not enough to hunt down over 100 episodes. So I ask, is it ok to watch the more recent movies? Do they tell the same story, or do they continue it? Because there is just so much Fist of the north star out there I cant get a grip on it all.

Well seeing how loads of anime streaming websites host this, Batman TAS and Spawn (some even The Tick) as (dubbed) anime I say it's only fair to discuss it here, especially since it looks like anime.

Anyone ever seen the full Daft Punk anime film based on that famous album, can't remember the name, I heard it has an actual story. You know what I'll just go and look for it and see if it actually has.

I don't listen to Daft Punk so I wouldn't know. Anywho. 1 thing I don't get about anime, is why do they keep the Japanese songs on the intros? Couldn't they just replace them?

Because it's extra effort that tends to piss the fans off and usually doesn't come out particularly well.

Look up the 4kids opening for One Piece to see what I mean.

Watching Sacred Star of Milos right now. Doesnt make a whole lot of sense, but it's been a while since iv'e seen Brotherhood. I fits in between episodes 20 and 21, but since it was made after the series, it really doesn't fit anywere, but the developers say that that's were it takes place, so whatever.
Pretty cool so far.
EDIT
More Like pretty AWESOME! It's a classic in my book! Went out with a bang, in true FMA Style!

You mean the web show Resolute?
If that's what you mean, then yes I watched it and I liked it.

If Renegades had based itself off of Resolute, it wouldn't be canceled right now. Just sayin'.

I guess so. But what I saw was on scifi (back when it was called that) and it was on for as long as a movie is usually on. But 1 thing I don't get though is why do they keep changing Cobra Commanders head from the cloth to the mirror mask/helmet and back. That kinda goes with why do they keep changing Nick Fury from white to black back and forth.

Easy answer: He changes masks the same way other people change shirts.

Easier answer: It all depends on how the artist or character designer wants to draw him.

Again, they don't "Change" him. When they were bringing Nick Fury into Ultimate Marvel, they decided to base his appearance on Samuel L Jackson. Jackson agreed to that, on the condition that he'd be allowed to play Nick Fury in any future movies.

His physical appearance doesn't actually change, it always stays the same, it just depends on the universe. In Earth-616, (Mainstream Marvel) he's white, in Earth-1610 (Ultimate) and Earth-199999 (The one the Avengers movies take place in) he's Samuel L Jackson.

SciFi, that must be old then, do you mean this, Resolute:

Or do you mean this, the movie:

Neither are anime, both are American films/ shows, Resolute was originally "aired" as a web show with 5 minute long episodes and a 10 minute finale, but written to work better as a movie.

It was definitely Resolute I saw. And anybody see the old Nick Fury movie with David Hasselhoff? That movie was so low budget for a Marvel movie, even for its time. Anyway, back to anime. They should do DC anime seeming how some of the Marvel anime worked so good.

Marvel teamed up with fighting game veterans and it made Marvel vs. Capcom. DC teamed up with fighting game veterans and it made Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Bad things happen when those companies try to emulate each other.

Yeah, but I think a Batman anime would work. Like Gotham Knight. Or maybe a Cyborg anime.

I would definitely be up for an anime series or two based on the different styles and interpretations from Gotham Knight. Yes I know they all tied into each other and the movies, but still.

I dont know about fairy tail. not yet anyway. Ima wait for the full english dub. Like when the whole series is done, so I can marathon it like I usually do. Unless it's out, done, and fully dubbed, I wont watch it right now. Or if the dub totally sucks...
Then I'll watch it subbed.

Sam Reigal voices both Viral, and WFC Starscream. I thought Viral sounded VERY familiar, and that's why.

Unhealthely often, but that's not the point. I saw the cutscene were after you beat starscream in WFC, when he says "THAT'S A PROMISE!" You can just here it in his voice. So I did a quick google search and that confirmed it.
