Flash will install into Internet Explorer but for some reason it seems to "forget" it's there.

It'll work fine under Firefox though.

And i've hardly seen any bugs and updates don't come everyday. Vista isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

I have the same deal with Firefox and Java. It's installed according to everyone. Just everytime anything Java is involved FF tells me to go install the missing plug ins
But thats under XP so I dont think its OS related thing

*warning* This post may suprise you *warning*

I've had almost NO problems with Vista. Mind This could be cuase I just searched the net for the newest drivers for anything I suspected would be a problem.

The only (very minor) problem I've had is Windows Live Messenger, which is so far the ONLY program ever to have crashed since I got this pc (and it's done it repeatedly), and which refuses point blank to admit the existence of flash on this pc (which is utter BS).

I'm having a similar problem with XP. No matter how many times I install Flash 9 or use whatever trouble shooting methods are on the site, the system always forgets that its installed. I don't use IE but I have a browser that's derived from it. Maybe I'll try downloading FF and see if flash works on that.

Divx (and a number of other programs for that matter) isn't yet designed to work with the advanced Vista colour schemes (ie, the glass effect) so it reverts to the XP colour schemes.

I have the exact opposite problem. IE remembers flash and Media player but Firefox seems to forget.

nah, figure it'll sort it's self out in time. And it works in Firefox so that's enough for me.

Get Firefox and use both. I do. At the very least to see if you can get Flash to work for you under it.
*waits for the horde of Firefox fanboys to come in and tell us we should only be using FF*

Doubt anyone would be having this problem.

I'm using the free version of AVG and pretty much every time on boot up I have to manually start the e-mail scanner. The little bubble pops up telling me it's not functioning, I go in, activate it, and then have no problems.

Anyone else using AVG (with Vista) and having the same problem?

I didn't think we could actually see what it was displaying other than to set it to "display what WMP is playing" and then other people would see it.
