And I'll drive the 18wheeler, possibly through the side of the HQ.
I believe I've been meaning to do that for a while now anyway....
To Sonray: It's good that you can hear me out & understand what I'm saying. I'm glad to hear you are trying to change, and I understand your behavior a lot more now I've had a glimpse into your reasoning, however in my eyes you real life actions does not excuse your online behavior. Being a media and Psychology student I tend to look into the difference between real life & virtual life, and one of the great benefits of virtual life is that you don't respond immediately like you do in conversation, you can mediate your actions, think about what to say & go back & edit if you want. It's alot easier to ignore a message board comment than a bully, you just don't click "reply". I've done this many time, but I also know how difficult it is to sometimes. Now you've shown remorse & a want to change so I'm not going to take this any further for now, but if your arguments with FR continue to get heated as often as they have been I
will take action & make a request to Ryan personally. I know I don't have much power here but I know a lot of people on the boards who would be willing to agree that your arguments with FR are disturbing certain threads. Luckily I think FR is planning on visiting the board less frequently so it should be easier to ignore his antagonism.
I don't want you to think I'm going to be monitoring your conversations with FR or anything, all I meant was if you two get me pissed off to a point like I was today. Thank you so much for being a pleasant guy & not shouting me down or anything, but I hope you see how much your arguments annoy me & others, and when you two are separated you both seem to be nice guys (as I have had more dealings with you, you especially).
I really hope you are able to ignore such antagonism in the future as you are a good friend of mine on these boards & it would be a shame to loose you here.
Oh, and I agree with Burn, not all metals shine, Mercury doesn't (as far as I know). Here's a
wiki quote for you:
wikipedia wrote:Traditionally, metals have certain characteristic physical properties: they are usually shiny (they have metallic luster), have a high density, are ductile and malleable, usually have a high melting point, are usually hard, are usually a solid at room temperature and conduct electricity, heat and sound well. However, this is mainly because the low density, soft, low melting point metals (the alkali and alkaline earth metals) happen to be reactive, and we rarely encounter them in their elemental, metallic form.
I know Wikipedia isn't all that reliable but this seems to include "usually" for a reason. Remember, there are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule.... except for the rule that there are always exceptions to the rule... hell I'm not gunna get started on that paradox, I'm too tired!
