Well Last night I bought 7 Classic Starscreams (All my local TRU had lol)
And made a cool discovery... G-1 Seeker Weapons fit on the Classic Starscream Mold Including Dirge's missiles and Ramjet's Bombs, all of them push the wings back as well but not as much as the larger launchers that Classic Screamer came with. Hopefully I can Attach the conehead Wings in a way to the new body as well...
This also gives me hope for Rodimus I need to get a repro or a spare Target Master Hot Rod Cyclone Blaster and get rid of the Fart Rocket

I did a Astrotrain rpeaint too while i'm taking breaks from making an extra Alt.Arcee. (Man, she was more of a bitch to paint then I remember...)

Anyhoo, i did something traditional but sort of not.

I didn't do any Astro repaints you'd exspect instead I made me a Classics Blast-Off.

Yes, If I wanted to I have thought of a 3rd Arm mode but there is no point to putting it to use untill I make the Other Combaticons. (I kinda have an Idea of what i'm ganna do already...)

Anyway, here you go. I used the head from an etra Oversized Blastoff G2 KO and I have plans to evetually get another Astrotrain and make another Blastoff in G2 colors.

Enjoy.

And just for fun I repackaged him to see how it looks. (Pre-finalized paint aps)

Now back to work on that Alt Arcee commission....as well as the other projects I need to finnish up soon. (KOTYA)

Oh, wow, that is awesome. And I'm surprised that it's that easy to turn him into a pretty damn faithful G1isation - I see headswap, tailfin mod and repaint; was there anything else you did?

And any chance we can see BO's new train mode..? 8)

*note* excluding Rodimus his fist are a different scale, not too sure why?

I have, Im looking at possible guns now in my junk draw you think Hasbro would have made one for the Con's to hold representing Megatron's hand held form.... I think the Closest to Megs ATM is R.I.D. Hightower's hand gun...

the hightower gun is very very small. Bumblee bee looks good hlding two though lol

That's right they finnally got here. I bought all of them but Megs. I'll regret it next week when i can't afford food I'm sure. Bee also looks pretty food weilding Primes guns.

Are the wings on starscream loos on all the figuress or just mine? Any thoughts on how to tighten them. The just fall backwards. makes it kinda hard to display. Had the same problem with atrotrains hand guards. They keep sliding in and covering the hand. I have a pretty good I dea on how to solve that though.

The one thing that works for tightenning up anything: Clear Nail Pollish.

Finally got around to finishing up the paint changes on my Classics Prime. Still might add some silver to the cab side of the smokestacks, though.

Mostly just silver paint, on the gray parts. I left the yellow on the fore arms, to maintain contrast with the biceps, and as a nod to the yellow details on the cartoon model. Last pic shows the black I added to the guns. Don't know how well it shows in the pics, but I put chrome trim strip on the yellow parts of the kneecaps.

Astrotrain just got some proper faction insignias.

also, I think Bumblebee with his chin bit shaved off makes him look like he has a huge Jay Leno chin.

Astrotrain pictures, later.

might I suggest painting that white cap on his gun silver? the one that unfolds from that part on top of his cab.
I hate those yellow parts on his forearms.
silver looks good. I wonder if the red paintwash I have in mind for an Ultra Magnus repaint would look good on the silver grill on his stomach and legs. I'm trying to get a "burning from within" look, but it looked really bad in photoshop and on the flat colors underneith.

Silver would be a good choice for that. I nver thought of it. Thanks for the suggestion, I think Ill do that. 8)

I personally like them without the faction symbols showing in alt mode, but thats jsut me, I do think that in Bot mode though a faction symbol makes sense.

Why did you paint over the lightpiping in Prime?s eyes? The light piping looks so much better.

Beyond being the wrong color (I like my Primes with yellow eyes, like the original had) It's too dark to let much light through. It's just a dark blue void above the mouth plate, unless there's light directly behind it.

Heh. I'm the same way. "I like my Prime's eyes yellow and my Grimlock's mouth black!"

Well, considering that this Prime is closer to the cartoon Prime, blue eyes is more accurate. Sure, the light-piping could have been lighter, but light piping always looks better than painted optics, regardless of color.

I still preffer the yellow eyes. This is one figure I did not like the look of the light piping on. It might as well have been opaque.

I'm planning on some paint touch up on my Prime as well after I finish my Megs. I really like how you did your Prime. I was thinking about yellow eyes as well. Were you able to remove the light piping on piece to paint it, or did you you a small brush?

A black washed Astrotrain. I think he looks better now, like he just came out of the atmosphere.

The light piping comes out. Just take the screw out of the back of the head, then push on one of the eyes with a toothpick, or something. It fits in tight, but it does come out,

Thanks I was worried that the rivet that holds the head on may have been attached to the light piping. I was able to remove the light piping piece and removed the rivet as well and replaced it with a screw. Thanks again.

Well my Megatron is 90% done I just have to finish up his wings, but I'm going to leave them detachable so the body is complete. And My Prime is 100% complete. I left the eyes blue but I painted his nose, the area around the eyes, and head crest silver. I also painted the outside of the leg flaps red, reapinted the cab & big gun red (nomore silver stripes) Painted all the red plastic robot parts to match and painted the upper legs, grill, etc. silver. I will have some pictures up at the end of the week after I get back in town (leaving out in the morning). The Paint should be nice and dry by then...

the pictures are clear. I don't approve of black paint wash on white surfaces though. some shade of grey makes it contrast much less. which is what white needs, because it's much brighter than a colored surface (to varying degrees, with yellow being the closest to white)
