Here is a quick and simple modification that will enable you to remove OP's backpack without losing the ability to transform it. The modification entails parts forming, but it vastly improves OP's look in Robot Mode.

Tools:

1. Mallet
2. Chain nose plier
3. Pin remover tool

Steps:

1. Use mallet and pin remover to push out pin that holds the rear of the truck.
2. Use chain nose plier to grip and fully remove the pin.
3. Detach rear section of the cab.

The bot mode looks so much better. Shame about partsforming though.

Whoa! That just made the whole figure look so much cooler! But, would you recommend getting this figure, or the Evasion Mode Optimus Prime?

i did this last night, the pin was really hard to take out.......but i managed.
though it does look great with out the pack, it kinda feels naked without the skirts(side panels)
so what i did next was removed the wheels off the backpack, there are 2 screws to pull out, i then took the pin and popped back the pac that has the skirts( used a new pin the original pin got warped pulling it out ) it looks pretty cool, u dont have the 6 wheels behind his head.....which for me was the biggiest issue.

so basically im left with the six wheels section of the cab.......dunno what ill do with em but the figure looks way better.

Now if only hasbro had the balls to include a led sword and some better paint apps!

for 59 bucks he wasnt worth it.....luckily i got mine as a gift lol

:BOT: :CON:

Well I will say Kudos to you for doing a great modification! ^^ I'm really thinking of getting this figure now. Do you mind posting pictures of what exactly you did to your figure? Thanks!

I've also seen pictures of the truck completely of the robot and that also worked.
You do reduce it to a non-transformer since you have the truck complete and the robot without the kibble complete. Anyone know the website? I forgot.
