I finally got my hands on one of fakebusker83's Articulated Predaking Tails (standard + extension / White Strong & Flexible Polished) from Shapeways.

Can anybody please give me tips on how to tighten each of the ball joints.

What about threading a long, bendable metal wire (like the one in a twist tie) in the middle of the tail? Could that work?

Apply a little bit of varnish, floor polish or superglue on each ball joint to thicken it a bit. Make sure that it cures before plugging it back into the socket.

I second Delta Magnus' reply; acrylic floor polish works well just make sure the polish is for vinyl floors.

What brand/name of acrylic vinyl floor polish do you recommend?

Trusted by customizers around the world:

Note that it says "multi-surface". The older version that says "tiles & vinyl" are apparently sold under this new packaging...or so I've read.

Yes, the Old Pledge with FutureShine has been re-labeled to Pledge Floor Care...I also used something else that has a similar formulation called Holloway House Quick Shine for vinyl floors. So far it seems to be working just fine. I used it to tighten up the out of the box floppy hind foot on the ravage cassette from the TRU SoundWave
