So, I really like the Motormaster figure we just got for Combiner Wars. the only thing is, he has this really boring color, like grey mud. I get that his robot mode is more grey than his truck mode, but the base was there for the vehicle mode to be distinct.
And so I set out to correct the colors which should've been better to begin with, but whatever; I had fun!

- So yeah, I wanted his truck mode to look like something other than clay.

- I painted the grill and smokestacks steel instead of silver, because I felt that would sell more of a "tough guy" vibe.

- I also redid the purple stripes with a grape pearl gloss. I thought it sounded like a color custom car enthusiasts would dig.

- As much as I wanted (still want) to finish the widows that Hasbro abandoned, (a) I love the color and don't know if I can replicat it and (b) I'm holding out for Reprolabels to come out with a set for him. Lazy, I know, but I love their stuff.

- So Robot mode is largely the same, except I mixed a more appealing grey that looked better with all the black.

- It's hard to see because of their small size, but I painted his eyes yellow.
"But Nemesis Maximo, don't you hate the color yellow?"
Yes, I do, but I wanted it to be a bright enough color that one could see. Their just...so small. But anyway, I also gave him facial hair in honour of his TF Animated counterpart. Now, some people don't like the way Motormaster's face is, but I really love it; it's kinda unique in it's features. He's got this Mongolian, Ghengis Khan thing going, which totally fits his big, tough, asshole attitude.

- Again, torso mode ends up mostly the same.

- I Painted the panels around his face to look like part of the helmet, like the side guards on something Greek or Roman. I think it makes his face look less fat.

- And now, the cream of the corn for this whole custom; the reason I decided to repaint him in the first place; I wanted to bring out some of the awesome sculpted details on Menasor's chest. Not much more to tell about it besides what is sees, but I just love to look at it.
And there you have it! A solid figure made better by color. I wanted to upload these a lot earlier this month, but I've been having internet issues lately. (i.e. I went over my wi-fi plan and have been using my cell phone for everything.). But I hope you enjoy it!
