Hey guys!

So lately I've been looking at my Generations legends Optimus Prime and thought; hey dude, you need some smokestacks. Just... cuz I like smokestacks on a G1(-ish) Optimus.
So I removed the shoulder pads and added the smokestacks using a toothpick, silver marker and some superglue. Just a lil mod. Simple, but cool.

Looks much better to me. Never liked those shoulder pads.

Also I like that you keep his chest closed. While I like a seperation of the chest windows on some Primes (movie Prime in particular) it just made this figure's torso even more overly-wide than it already was. A tiny Matrix in there might have been a nice addition too.

Thanks! I agree on the closed chest. That way he looks even more G1-ish than he already did. Also, when I display him with an open chest I pretend he's reaching for the matrix in it, as the sculpted detail in his chest does look like some kind of matrix.

Maybe could print out a tiny Matrix sticker to put in there instead of the Autobot insignia.

Haha, that's a pretty good idea actually.

I might buy this figure if I find it real cheap. I'd do what you did with custom smokestacks (I might paint the hinge parts they slot into silver too) and it looks better than the more traditional looking Legends Prime. I'm much more into movie Prime for my 'proper' TF figures but a small lil simple Prime like this guy makes a nifty desktoy to fiddle with when working.

Is it ok to steal your stacks idea?
