I’ve actually had this figure finished for a really long time, but for some reason kept forgetting to pull together a gallery & post it. Well, no more procrastinating!



This guy needed paint, and he needed paint BADLY. The original figure, seen below, was really bland and not reflective of Megatron’s appearance in Dark of the Moon. the mold itself is great, with a fun transformation, very little kibble, and a great overall look.

Painted every inch of this guy, including his mangled cowl. Mostly used a nice matte Khaki Drab paint, with silver, copper, and dark metallic grey accents. Added some silver outline Reprolabel Decepticon logos on either side of the cab, and picked up a movie-accurate shotgun for him from Shapeways. Very happy with the end result!

Thanks! Glad you liked. Those three Voyagers scale pretty well together. Even though Sentinel is a total shellformer, the mold itself looks pretty good in bot mode when you paint it up right.

I actually forgot those were the Voyager Primes. Your paintwork make them look so much better than the stock factory ones. I would like an Optimus Prime like that. I used to have the Leader class version of it (and Sentinel) but Leaders are a bit big for my tastes and they never did a DotM Megs of that size.

Much improved. Definitely going to do this to mine.
A note to anyone else looking to do the same: Evasion-mode Optimus comes with Megatron's DOTM fusion shotgun instead of the cannon Optimus carried in the movie, and it's perfectly compatible with this Megatron - it even tabs to his back.
