Hey all, it's been a while since I was on the boards but I just finished up a 15-yr project that I snoozed on. Here goes...

Blackstreak is a customized G1 Bluestreak in black and gold, using a Diaclone mould with Smokescreen's roof and rear windows. He was my first Transformer ever, bought in 1984 at a local Best department store in PA. He was in pretty bad shape, with broken roof, missing windows, no stickers, and major wear, so most of the time on this project was spent on restoration.

As far as a backstory goes, Blackstreak is the lesser known twin brother of Bluestreak.

“BLACKSTREAK was a bit of a black sheep, the odd one in the bunch who didn’t take well to orders and kept to himself, unlike his chatty twin. But he always had the music. While he was more compatible with the likes of Jazz and Blaster than the other Autobots, their disparate musical tastes kept their conversations limited to debates on rock vs disco.” Hehe.

As an artillery gunner, Blackstreak mostly just chillaxes at the base listening to records. During battle he relies mostly on his long range missile barrage.

Plus, this retro colorway just happens to coincide with a black and gold 10th Anniversary Datsun 280ZX released in 1980.

Nice job! Good color scheme. The Disco Dave micronaut dude is cool too.
