They were all pretty great except the gorilla was a lil derp. Wolf, lion, and falco were the best.

that being said, I'm even more impressed with your skillz. Looking at your birdly/dragon shapes I would have sworn you'd have handled that Chima falcon.

The directions are up on brickset.com as pdf's, so I have read through all of them several times, and I did turn to those specifically for inspiration, once I acquired the requisite parts

Recently got the ninjago nrg dragon from target, definitely recommended - especially if you price match it to target.com for $33, it's gorgeous

Sat down and started cranking out body parts again, this time it’s a series of lightning inspired mech creatures;

First up is the Thunder Bear

Thanks, it’s difficult to lego animals like that but also make all that animal kibble go away for the torso mode

Yeah, I modeled the gorilla after the Condor. Except I had the shoulder ports as upper arms as they had the same look as a gorilla when hunched over, so I ran with it and it worked out so well!

Guess you could say they were pretools of each other

And for the keen-eyed, the Thunder Bear is made from the cannibalized body of my original Draco-core mech

You could call the gorilla... Thunderstruck?

Couldn’t get past the giant lump of kibble left behind by the gorilla, so this is a the general idea of its newest update

Mostly mech sets to cannibalize; the only one's I've kept together are the ninjago movie dragon mech and the ninjago firstbourne dragon; and I also bought all three sets that had the oni demon masks really just for them, but the stuff they came with turned out to be mostly great

Nice stuff!! I wish I had the legos to make stuff like you do, I'm more static stuff like battleships and cars

Thanks man, I'd almost forgotten this thread existed, its been a hectic few years for me - not a lot of time to bust out the collection anymore (ugh, adulting) I've got something I wanna finish, its really big and amazing, just gotta get my mojo all the way there first
