Combiner Wars Wheeljack's hidden potential (Minor/Repaint)

A few paint touch ups and I made him way more show accurate. I also figured out a way to reattach the shoulder missile from generations/united wheeljack with zero modding. Check it out!

I'm still planning on buying the reprolabels set for finishing out the alt-mode.

Will edit with photos once I can resize them.

Hm, I've found that the little gap in the shoulder bits can hold c-clips, if you saw off the gun handle you could wedge it in there.

Thanks folks! I should update the thread with some new pics now he's got his reprolabels applied. Will sort that out when I get home.

Looks GREAT Memphis! :APPLAUSE:
Did you do it all with a brush or did you do any spraying?
It all looks really clean and sharp.
Jack looks sharp too!

Would you believe it's all freehand handbrushing? I do have an airbrush, but I only cart it out for bigger projects. I've just been doing model painting since my childhood, so I have a good gauge on the right paint consistency, brush technique, coat thickness etc.

Also the games workshop paint I used was great. "Leadbelcher" beaufiful gunmetal colour and goes on and self levels like an absolute dream considering the metallic particulate.

I would believe it!
I've just been using Testors brand. I'll have to look into the Games Workshop stuff. Self leveling sounds key. Thanks for the tip!

Alright you lucky lot, you. I did peomise some more pics now that I'd got his reprolabels on, so here goes.

I had to retouch the paintwork, as it'd been quite a thin coat, and it was just wearing off to the touch, and the bald white was showing through underneath. So here he is, now with retouched paint, a semi-gloss topcoat to stop it happening again, and the delightful reprolabels set from toyhax, which is without doubt one of the best I've ever ordered from them.
