Custom Combinations - Unique CW Combiners

Hey everyone! I wanted to make a thread, calling out to anyone who's made some custom combiners out of the plethora of figures released in CW, UW, and now POTP.

THIS DOESN'T ONLY MEAN: customized pieces, ie self painted or kitbashed (but they are also welcome!). Because personally, I don't have talent in that arena, and mine are mostly just a unique combination of figures otherwise not together in the traditional sense. It can be anything really, even a swapout of a Hasbro member for a Takara member. But anyways, you'll get what I mean with my first entry ;)

Say hello to Thunderclash, and (what I'm calling his combined form) Hyperdrive!

This came to fruition through 3 sources: Reprolabels, Renderform, and Perfect Effect. At first, I was only interested in the stand alone TC figure. But obviously I had to see what the torso mode looked like (at the time using G2 Stunicons) and I was shocked how much I liked it. So much so, that I had to make another one JUST for the combined form. After that, I just had to assemble a unique team for him, which admittedly I did purely based on looks (colors mostly) and not who the members were. Who I used though, were: G2 Breakdown, TFCC Impactor, and two dudes from Liokaiser.

Oooooooh! I like this game. I'll play!

Hyperdrive looks DOPE! :APPLAUSE: ;)^

Shacky-Jak, you probably remember this ol' fella.

Image

The White Knight of Cybertron

Not much backstory other than he's mysterious, he's mighty, and he always shows up just in the nick of time!.

Also, what else are you gonna do with Battle Core Prime? I mean other than turn him into a badass Thunderclash, of course.

Image

He actually became one of my favorite Combiners I have.
He still holds court on my Classics/Gen shelf. He's received a few upgrades.

Image

Rook moved to arm and TFCC BotCon Tigertron took his place. Jack took up left leg, and First Aid went back to Protect-o-ing.
He got new shoes and new blade.

And Beast Wars Tigertron still seems to be his spirit animal. :MAXIMAL:

Care! You need to get either Spinister, or one of the girlcopters to finish Copticus!

I have a few more of my own to share, but it might be a while before they're revealed.

Two of them though, will be based on my mishmash combiners I had as a kid. I have exactly enough guys, spanning all the G1 combiners and factions to make exactly two dudes. I plan to recreate them now that Abominus is hitting the streets!

Well I'd have to get two of the choppabots at this point. Isn't spinster a TFCC figure? And with all the lady copter bots being part of gift sets, too rich for my blood. I'm also looking to offload CW Cyclonus.

I did notice that my only two "custom" biners were both made of all the same limb molds

I like to keep things nice and vanilla official with my combiners. I am looking forward to shuttle Blast-off to make Geewunicus.

Off-topic and not at all official. I'm kinda eye-balling this guy here.

Yeah Care, I gotta agree. I think I've seen enough of Thew's Knock-Off Beatdown's to know that KO's like that, might not even fit together, or stay together if you do :(

I too was inspired to use the stunticons to re-create Thunderclash and (most of) the Turbomasters to make a custom Hyperdrive combiner. With parts from shapeways, renderform, and reprolabels. I should probably get some Perfect Effect hands and feet.
