Yes, the "Hur hur lets killz teh Gobots as a backgr0und gag" thing is immature and pathetic and one of the things wrong with 21st-century G1 comics.

What noggin is that on TR Hot Rod?

And getting to the main event last because flow reasons: That guy is awesome. Love the new paintwork, and the stickers.

I got both of them printed off of Shapeways -

IDW Hot Rod
Matt Trakker/Spectrum

My wife painted Hot Rod and I painted Spectrum. I was tempted to get the matching minifigures too, but I figured that might be redundant after the Titan Master itself.

Prize Inside also has Titans Return 'masks' and minifigures for Miles Mayhem, Bruce Sato, and Cliff Dagger, as well, but I don't know how to pull off those characters. MASK vehicles were very terrestrial and Titans Return was very much not that (especially compared to Combiner Wars). Toyhax happening to make a reprolabel set for Hot Rod at the same time this face plate showed up on Shapeways was serendipity. My only other idea has been to try and turn the TRU Thundercracker into Switchblade/Miles Mayhem.

Thank you! Beyond detailing a few characters like Sentinel Prime and Vector Prime, this is the first custom I've ever done that I think actually came out well. I'm actually feeling really bold now, and considering tackling a much bigger project - turning my old Leader-Class Energon Megatron into a Shattered Glass Megatron.

That Matt Tracker looks epic. Though I'm wondering if you have a Titans Return Loud Mouth (Siren), how would he look like on the Thunderhawk hot rod? Also the shape ways spectrum says it wasn't threaded, was it easy to apply to an existing Titan master?

Unfortunately, I sacrificed my Loud Mouth TM to redo someone else's head. Sorry :-/

So far, all four of the face plates I have purchased from that vendor have been easy to mount on the Titan Master's backs. I've tried the White Strong and Flexible and the Frosted Ultra, and in both cases the screw threaded itself into the hole provided just fine, and remained secure afterward. I've even removed them and swapped them around some since then. There's very little difference between his product and what you get from Hasbro.

That's not universal, though. I bought a MtMtE Megatron face-plate from a different vendor, and ended up having to glue it in place - though I wondered at the time if there was a problem with the screw in that case; nothing seemed to be fitting together right.
