THIRTYSIXGUN (Rack, Ruin, Vos, Metroshot, Sixgun, and Sixgun)

What do you get when you put six Sixguns together? Why, Thirtysixgun of course!

Of course, I only used two unchanged Sixguns in this most unusual combiner. The legs, for instance, were repainted into Rack n Ruin. While included, their xevoz weapons aren't essential to the combiner and the construct-bot arm connecting them was left out entirely.

Image

When not combined, they fill out :WRECKERS: groupshots.
Image

They can also form their own combiner, which I like to call The Rackruin.

Image

Vos and Metroshot, meanwhile, hang out with their own groups. Well, Metroshot *will* when Hasbro releases a Metrotitan or somehow causes T30 Metroplex to decrease in price. ;)
Image
Vos was created for my DJD/Deceptigod project and is technically part of two combiners now. I left the CW Megatron gun out of Thirtysixgun.
Image
He nominally turns into a sniper rifle, and the leftovers form a mounted cannon.
Image
...and why not, here's Deceptigod to add to the crazy combiner fun!

I'm loving all those projects, especially Vos! I'm going to try and turn a Sixgun into Cybertron Wing Saber. Got any advice? (By the way, I love your projects!)

First off, thank you so much!
About Wing Saber, here's what I have to say:
I was able to get away with leaving all the Sixguns' pins in except the ones on their shoulders - if the upper torso's going to be one color you can also leave them in. For context, I left these pins "naked" on Vos.
I removed all the screws and used an Xact-o knife on the heads and lower legs. I'd recommend putting the lower leg halves together when painting so they don't have an unsightly gap like my Metroshot's, and being very careful to follow the seam on the figure's head.
Also, I'd recommend spraying the insides of the figure's hips so no unwanted red is visible, and ESPECIALLY sanding the red 5mm pegs. I thought I sanded some of mine enough but there's still serious paint rub. I'm not sure if the issue is avoidable, at least with my cheap Rust-oleum sprays.

This is some very nice work! I particularly like Metroshot.

I've got some advice: Try and find a cheap model kit of an A10 that's the right size. Also see if you can find small toy soldiers with gatling guns

Thanks, that really helps!

I'm very grateful for the advice. In all honesty, I'm just doing a simple repaint. Probably not as good as yours would be. ;)^

Question: Why do so many people love using Sixgun for Rack'n'Ruin customs? It seems like Cog would work a lot better for him.

Well, for one thing their character design doesn't actually have any vehicle parts visible, so Six-Gun is actually closer in that respect. For another, Six-Gun is a bit more common. On top of that, a decent chunk of Six-Gun is white plastic, which makes him easier to repaint.

Well, pretty much everything here is just a repaint. I learned all the things I posted after royally messing up with Vos and leaving tons of little red spots on him.

Well, the head shapes and single antenna options on Six-Gun are closer to Rack 'n' Ruin's usual look, plus the lower arms are easier to mess around with and augment with weapons. Cog's head is basically a block but two slices of the x-acto makes Sixgun's head a near perfect match for Rack 'n' Ruin.

Upon further viewing of the Cybertron Wing Saber toy, I’ve decided to cheat a fair bit and make him Sixgun with A-10 parts and a Star Saber chestplate.

see, this is why i LOVED those take-apart guys from the line, you can do all sorts of crazy stuff just by messing around with them, and this here is a prime example! ;)^
