Titans Return Overlord modifications

This is an ongoing on-off project to enhance my Titans Return Overlord in terms of looks and features.

The first mod I've made concerns the Megajet component. One of the things that bugged me about him is that part of the "MegaChild" mini-jet gets left hanging on the hinge, leaving the mini-jet minus its tailfins. There are reasons why it splits partway down the length (One is the base mode, the other is so he can wear it as a breastplate rather than an arm shield), but it bugged me to not readily be able to detach the MegaChild in its entirety.

Technically, you can pop the MegaChild off the hinge without modification, but it takes a lot of effort. I trimmed and filed the pegs so that it would work more easily.

That's all I've done so far, but I have more planned. Such as making the tank halves able to detach entirely as per the original toy. Can anyone recommend connector plugs to use for the job?

Looks like an improvement for the detached drone, but wouldn't it make the piece a little awkward on Overlord's arm? In any case, I love that "mega child" is seeing some use in the fandom. I cracked up laughing when I saw it in the subtitles for Masterforce
About the tank segments, maybe you could use LEGO technic pins and short beams? There seems to be just enough room between the tank section and the front panel, plus the LEGO pins are roughly 5mm wide for some cross-compatible fun

Nah, if anything it just means a more substantial shield. What makes it awkward on Overlord's arm is the reliance on the 5mm peg; makes me want to modify the section of tailfin to have a socket for the oblong peg and thus hold it more steadily.

Well, it's easy to type and there's no other canon name for it :P

Well, I wouldn't want the connector plugs to rotate quite that freely.

What I ultimately have in mind will involve some radical reworking of the tank; the Gigatank as-is connects upside-down and on the wrong legs compared to the original.

Oh, that reminds me...
I'd like to know exactly how the "Overlord Tera" combination works, so that I can see if it's possible to preserve.

Mind you, part of me has my doubts about going all the way with this since he's undersize relative to God Ginrai anyway, but...
