Need advice re: TR Fort Max. Where to get big ratchet joints? Or should I bother?

I've been scheming on modifying my Titans Return Fortress Maximus ever since I got him, to try bringing him closer to the G1 version especially in base mode.

And one of the biggest things that needs to happen for that is making his legs able to pivot vertically below the knee. That one thing is the biggest transformational difference between G1 and TR. Just being able to perform that one extra transformation step would do wonders to bring Titans Return Fort Max's base mode closer to G1, at least layout-wise.

The problem is implementing it. The only idea I've had for where to get sufficiently big and strong ratchets for the job is cannibalizing a Cybertron Supreme-class Starscream, and I'd rather not do that if I don't have to. But where else can I get them?

The other idea I had was to not bother with ratchets and instead secure the pivots with bolts or swing-latches that have to be undone and redone during transformation.

Anyone have advice?

While a bit small size-wise, the hip ratchets on Energon Omega Supreme are surprisingly strong. Both of my Omegas' ratchet joints are just as strong as my Fort Max's knees and hips. Still a pricy option, though.

Yeah, and I would also rather not cannibalize a figure if I can avoid it.

As large as Fort Max is, maybe push-button locking ratchet joints would work.

Well, the ones Fuhzimota suggested don't look like they'll work. Does anyone else want to weigh int? Also, it occurs to me that this thread actually belongs in Transtopia.
