Bought from eBay: Custom "Gen" Windstepper using Cybertron Jetfire.

I randomly happenned on this custom on Canadian eBay. The bid started as 40$CAN. Never having the Cybertron Jetfire mold, and that Jetfire being way too expensive 100% complete, I bidded at 41$CAN just in case..... and I won!

So here it is:

First off, I'm absolutely blown away by that plane mode. Appart the top of the fists and the head, if you know to look for them, there is absolutely no robo junk ever. Even on the underside!

That custom paint job is also pretty damn sexy. I wish I could paint like that.

Compared to the G1 Triggerbot Windsweeper original that I bought from my local geek store just because I won that custom:

Not the "same" plane, obviously. But this is in the spirit of the old classic Generations, where the classic characters were re-imagined instead of being "mini Masterpieces". I do love mini MPs, but I miss the freedom of classic Generations. So I love that custom plane a lot!

Things begin to fall appart for the bot mode though. It's the mold's fault. The plane is perfect but despite the joints, the bot is essencially a brick. His posing is very, very limited or he's falling over.

Another "crime" the mold commit is to have a horrible backpack due to the Cybertron gimmick and to be the WORST DONUT case I've ever seen on a Transformers. Beating SS voyager ROTF Megatron and Titanium Rodimus Prime by a huge margin.

Still, the bot have a very nice custom head. Chosing a Starscream head was perfect because it match the original G1 very well.

The bot is also BIG and powerful looking.

That paint is once again, pretty wonderful.
Here's a comparison with the G1 original:

And remember the faults of the Cybertron Jetfire mold that I mentionned? This ironically make him pretty damn accurate compared to the G1 original!

Overall, I'm pretty happy with having this magnificent custom. Especially for the ridiculous price that I paid!
