My name is Silvercog. I'm a Decepticon agent who seeks ancient artifacts that could help the Decepticon cause. I heard rumors of that some humans "native tribes" had legends about a sacred rock formation in the Nevada desert that gave of some weird mystical energy. It existed as far as they could remember.

Interesting.

I've been rolling in the desert for a while, now...

Image

I approach the objective, so of course some bot gets in my way. It self proclaims as a "defender of the Native" or some nonsense.

Image

I don't have time to deal with lunatics.
I blast the fool to kingdom come and move on.

Image

Finally! That's the place. As I thought, the "mystical energy" I've been reading are faint traces of energon.

Image

I don't think that could be an energon mine. This looks like...

Image

Heave-Ho!

Image

Indeed, I knew it! That's a Cybertronian who is asleep since millions of year!

Image

Thanks Primus I brought my equipment and a spare energon cell. This will kick some life in that poor basterd's body.

Image

It worked! Now the ground is shaking like mad! How big is that thing? Better take some cover!

Holy, you're a big boy! You seem to be confused. Let me... ahem... refresh your memory while I scan your functions and readjust your basic hardware.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Excellent. You are Roche-O-Plex, a Decepticon warrior! Here, try out some of my weapons and tell me how you feel.

Image

Image

Good, you're a natural!

Image

Now, TRANSFORM!

Image

Not too bad! And your drone is still functional too! Excellent.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Now, armed mode! (Lemme help you with that.)

Image

You can do more? A "city"? Well, try it out!

Woah!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Let me share some of my power with you!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Oh, Geetoo Bruticus, what's up you fruity oaf? Coming to greet our new friend?

Image

Yeah, you're right! This base will give us a nice advantage.

Image

Image

Image

That drone of his can shoot out very quickly from that garage!

Image

Oh Roche-O-Plex can even combine with combiner limbs for more power!

ImageΒΈ

Well, Master Megatron, this concludes my report.

Thanks! I love the rocklords so I wanted to make a rocklord-Metroplex. But then, just being rock alone was kinda boring. Then I bought the plants and herbs to complete it. But there was something missing. That's how the surrounding landscape came to be.

If I ever come across a G1 Scorponok body for cheap, I may create Roche-O-Plex's rival. :-?

Yeps the surrounding mountain thing is definitely "peak" imagination ;) Is the dirt just glued on? It looks great in all.

The mountain base was made with that blue Styrofoam that you put on walls as insulation. Then, my pea-brain had the bright idea to spray paint with Krylon directly on it. The thing started MELTING.
Oh dear.
I stopped, let the reaction calm down and cease, then I let it dry. Not much was melted fortunately. Then I diluted white wood glue with water and put on a few layers of Scott Towels on it to protect the foam and to give the whole thing a more "organic" look.

Only once that was dry and hard did I spray painted the same colors as I did Roche-O-Plex. Finally, once the paint was dry, I planted the remaining vegetation.

BTW, this is one of the color that I used. Expensive, but worth it. It gives a nice "rocky" effect.
