I think it is more of a repaint, but it's not my call. Damage always looks good.

The scrapes and scorches of minor battle damage are the order of the day on this figure!

Have you seen my custom ratchet?

I dont want you to take offense from any of this, but i must say your paint work could use some improvement. Its very shadowy, very uneven and quite messy in some areas. A little bit of refinement and better use of your materials would do you a world of good.

Thanks

What paints are you using? Acrylics are easy to work with and wash off with water but they chip easily once dried. Enamels are toucher but take alot longer to dry and can smudge easier.

I use a mix of both because i am awesome (:P) but i recommend you start out with some acrylics as they are evry user friendly. To protect your paint from chipping, buy some clear matte varnish. Once you have applied all your paint, take the matte varnish and apply it all over the surfaces you painted on. It'll create a protective layer and should help against chipping.

If you are having problems with paint chipping in joints, the matte varnish probably wotn help much and you will have to use an advanced technique involving superglue but i dont think you are quite ready for that yet.

And yes, buy GOOD brushes and take care of them.

Looks great. Not too sure about the orange on Scorponok though. He seemed golden on the other pic.

Well then instead of baeting 'em, give the dude tips on how to make it better. It's CONSTRUCTIVE criticism for a reason.
