Seen too many Bumblebees? Try Movie Hotshot!

This is my first time customizing a toy that is NOT an Alternator. A few of you may know me from other boards, but I figured I'd sign up over here too.

For those of you that are new to my customs, you can check out my photobucket account here:

So, now that you a little about me...

I present to you, my first non-Alternator custom. Movie Hotshot. I had the intention to turn this extra '08 Movie Bumblebee into a movie accurate version, however, after seeing 101 customs (that were all awesome) I figured it was pointless to throw another out there.

So, here's alternate mode:

And here's bot mode. I painted the robot parts with a color called Fire Pepper Red. The paint is very strong and resiliant, as I have transformed this guy at least 50 times by now.

I thought the color fit Hotshot. No blackwash ...but I did highlight some areas with Testor's gloss red. I detailed some other areas with a combination of black, silver, and gold.

The helmet was created with a lego space man visor, and is held in place by two eyeglass repair kit screws. It is able to move up and down.

I'm anxious to hear what everyone thinks...during the movie I kept picturing Bumblebee as a cross of G1 Bumblebee and Armada Hotshot...and thats where I got the idea.

So...for those of you that don't like Hotshot...you can think of this as Allspark Bumblebee...hahaha

Taking a look at the pics, I realize now that you can see the license plate numbers through the red paint. The flash must have brought that out, cause you can't see it in person. Weird.[/url]

Wow dude, you brought some originality to the game. Thats great, especially the visor. I think blue'd be a better car color, but It still looks great. Even sponsor stickers.
It'd do good to add more of a custom head, but I ain't complanin'!
Nice all-round.

Dude...5 bucks is WAAAAAAAY too cheap. The toy alone, without any mods, is worth more than that.

A custom job like this is at least worth 20 bucks.

Its cool!

Its not always about the money. Sometimes you gotta have faith in your work. In the back of my mind I know it'll go over $5. (In fact right now its at $19)

And it'll hopefully make some movie fan or armada fan happy.

(and I'll get the money to pay for the Bumblebees I bought myself at least)

Thanks for looking out for me though! Made me feel good here at Seibertron!

£40, the asking price.

Next time im gonna set the asking price at like £1 and have a reserve. Hopefully they will get addicted to bidding and jack the end price right up.

My next re-paint will be worth alot more anyway, since its something the fans really want, nobody has done it properly and hasbro refuse to make it themselves.
