Finished my Barricade! Personally, I think he looks absolutely great. Props to Jin Saotome for the hands/head idea!
He is on eBay now! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=008

I have to say, it looks nice. One crit though, and it's not your fault. The Robot Replicas head just doesn't fit that squat, blocky body too well. It's amazing how they made the same character into two totally different dimensions and the figures are about the same height (give or take.)

It's a shame more work wasn't put into bringing out the detail on the original face. There are times when I have to say Hasbro could pick up the slack a bit.

NICE, Very clean... the blue looks sweet, and I have to agree on the head... it just seems off, but the paint aps make up for it so its not that noticeable.

Thanks! I dunno, I like the Replica head better than the original deluxe head... the original looks like a bunny rabbit head.

Man! That looks so good! I'm working on one too (slowly) but after seeing yours I realized that I didn't assemble the hands right. I just cut off the tip of his old thumb, ground it thinner and put the new hand right on it. It was disappointing to me because I realised that I could not transform him without taking off the hands. Can you transform yours without taking off the hands? Can you please tell me how you assembled the hands? Yours line up very nicely and mine, well, you can imagine how mine are. Please help.

It is a nice figure, but I have to agree with the others, the head does not fit this model. The problem is that it is proportionately too long and thin compared to the rest of the body. To use an analogy from old black and white comedy teams, It's like putting Stan Laurel's head on Oliver Hardy's body. For those who don't know who these are, they were a comedy team from the early 20th century. Stan Laurel was skinny, and Olviver Hardy was routund.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion, but I have the head attached and I really don't see a problem with it especially because it looks more like the movie Barricade's head, even proportionally. I think the too artists I've seen do this recognise that and so chose the head. Does anyone else like or dislike the head?

It's amazing the new head and hands fits into the car mode. I wonder why Hasbro didn't think of this.

I like the look. But i would prefer a predominantly black color for the head.

But still, it's an amazing job.

I never like the head sticking out so much. I prefer his original head.
Nice everywhere else though.

Actually, Barricade with the Robot Replica head does not look that bad in person.

I didnt like the head of Jin's first Barricade, because the same as y'all said - too narrow and stuck out too much. But I think the Robot Replica head fits nicely. His idea was truly a good one in my opinion.

The hands and arms looks very good.

I may want to try modifying my Barricade, once it arrives. :)

I'll refer back to this thread and photos for reference.
