My precious customs. Some new pics and now with Primal & Golden Disks

Finally, here are my customs. I apologise in advance for the crappy quality of the pics, combination of a crap camera (my dad got a new one and I got the reject), my poor ability at close range photography and shaky hands (Yes, I'm terrible at those steady hand games too :P ). I have tried to take better ones and those are sideways for some stupid reason. They are flipped the right way on Photobucket, but they are coming out sideways here. Sorry about that, I don't know where the problem is.

Tarantulas.
Image

This was the first custom I did, and I'm very proud of it. A lot of the detail is lost in the pic, but his head has gold trim around that circle on his forehead, as well as gold dots. His wavy lip type thingies are silver.

Here is a better view of his head. You can see the gold on the last pic.

Image

Image

Here is Rampage. I made his face and spikes silver like the show, but kept his Mohawk and eyebrows as I thought he looked a bit too plain without them. And yes, those missiles are inside the barrels. It took me a month per barrel to get those things right, but it was certainly worth it. I can't get the pic to flip the right way up for some bizarre reason, even though it's the right way around on Photobucket.

Inspired by Sunstar’s repaint, here is my Archiville. You can’t see it clearly in these pics, but he has black boots, a dark blue shirt, white hair and that silver cap of his. He also has two human arms, not a silver cybernetic one.

Image

You can’t see him very well in this one, but you can see where he sits on Screamer, and I included it because I love the way Screamer came out in this pic.

Image

Here is my repaint of the Scorpinok that came with Blackout, inspired by someone whose name I now forget.

Image

Here is my Classic Astrotrain. My first complete body repaint and inspired by someone else whose name I forget.

Image

The thrusters look much better painted like this than leaving them white. Even on the original, they should have been done like this.

Look Ma! A train with Wings!
Image

Due to problems with the painting, the wings broke off. I was able to glue them back on, but toon Astrotrain will never be able to move them again.

Image
Image

I like pistons and metallic cables to be silver.
Image

As well as his wings breaking off, his right toes got stuck up in robot mode (that was fun to fix) and the lower part of the cockpit decided it would be fun to break the ball socket. So I glued the window to the lower part and they just sorta hang on for dear life. In case anyone noticed he was missing his right toes. Because of all these breakages due to the repainting, I did something I never do and got another version of the same mould.

Here is a much more co-operative full body repaint. Cl Starscream into Skywarp. He has the best paint scheme of all the seekers and I didn’t like the colour of his weapons on the official version. Well, that and the two pack never appeared here. :P This is the basis of my sig pic over at TCA

Image

Yes, he has a white stripe running down his lower leg. It’s a nice touch, I thought.

Formation Flying.

This is Outburn. This is the same guy that appears in my fanfic ‘Stunshock’.

My largest repaint, and one I am damn proud of.

A left handed Transformer. Bet you thought they were a myth! Close up pics so you can see the detail, instead of poor quality wide shots.

And just to prove the extra exhaust under the doors don’t get removed for transformation, here’s they are on his ankles.

Image

And lets not forget my lego Devastator and Menasor which have proper focused photos. Ah well. You can still make out what is what in the above photos. But if people really want me to, I'll try and take better ones.

Here is Primal. His weapons, chest and faceplate have been done.
Image
Image
Image

Finally, The Golden Disks. These were 2 Lego Slizer disks.
Image

And yes, Megs can hold them in his hand, tail or behind those thrusters on his back.

Walmart have only just started their invasion of the UK, and so far their stores are still branded ASDA. There are plenty of photo processing outlets that should offer the same service though. Better pics would definitely be a help my good shipmate, garrr.

Wow. Great customs matey!

So Asda is actually gonna become Walmart? Great!

I have noticed that they stock more transformers and games than they used to. Plus they have a wicked cool offer on laptops atm.

It's a shame about the camera, but I like what I can see! That's a nice Skywarp, looks better than the real one! I did a mini-Scorpy repaint, maybe I'm inspiring, but I think not. Also is that MP Starcream??

Is Walmart better than Asda? If so ace!

The bad pics really help scorponok. I thought he was the Deluxe size from the 2-pack, he's that good. Nice.
Alternator paint job is really sweet too.

Funny thing, I always put weapons if Tf's left hands. I'm left handed.

It already is. Whether they ever start to rebrand stores rather than sticking with a familiar corporate identity that people in th UK already have assossiations with and whether we ever start seeing Walmart exclusive toys (yeah, right) is another story entirely.

I like your take on Classics Skywarp, although I personally had no issues with the 2 pack version.

Just think about it for a minute. That would potentially mean MP Starscream being available at UK retail. Severely not likely but as it's an exclusive in the US anyway it's the only way we're ever going to see it.

These pics are just too dark and too blurry to see any of the hard work you've done. Clear, well lit pics might be in order.

Yes, That's MP screamer Archivelle is sitting in the palm of. As for the Scorpinok inspiration, it was whoever posted their pic in the 'Paint Mini-knock' thread about 2 weeks ago.

Updated with better pics (though still not fantastic, but the lighting and my shakey hands won't allow for better quality at close range. Landscapes I'm killer at shooting, but not up close and personal. )

Garrr, your pics be getting better there matie. Are you using the zoom function rather than getting in close? I always find that helps enormously with detail work like this.

I have the camera set on close pics. It either has close pic or far pic. Just the two. The zoom doesn't do really do anything except chop the edges off. I tried it on an aircraft carrier on holiday and it wasn't any clearer. That's why it was a reject camera. It's pants.

At least most of them are clearer. I hope you can make out what is what, the lighting in my room isn't the best. It's either too dark (like in the pics, even though it isn't that dark in real life) or far too bright. Very difficult to find a good middle ground.
