I made the wrench too, but Wheeljack doesn't need it to attach his new wings. They just plug into the holes that are already there in his shoulders.

My guess they disappear into that "Excess part" Dimension/Foot locker used by many G1 Cybertronians.

Pretty much. There is room for them to store between his rear tires in car mode, but I'll have to drill some holes. Of course, he still needs the magic force fields that make parts fly from one part of the robot to the other that Transformers from every generation rely so strongly upon.
