Voyager Prime looks so boring out of the box in terms of color scheme. This paint job has made a sub-par figure look like a must-have.

That's simply incredible! That paint looks so great on it. What kid did you use? I'd love to try some more metallic look to some of the figures I repaint.

god bless enamels!! Great work as always man!
I got some of that Alclad you've been using, works great!!! I just painted deluxe Jazz's exterior in chrome...looks badass!

hello all,
Us and Them, I used gloss enamel base colors, a light coat of metallic flakes of the same colors, with sand buffing in between apps, and a final high-gloss clear enamel coat to get that shiny look. The chrome-silver is Alclad II Lacquer Chrome, check out my mini list tutorial in my Leader Prime post,
http://www.seibertron.com/forums/viewto ... id=#319249 2nd page for more info, the color scheme is similar to that of leader prime, with a few minor color mix variations.
Frenzy that shine looks beautiful on Jazz, he doesn't look like a crappy gray toy anymore, nice job!

thanks dude. it was real easy to use as well, the most important factor was a good smooth shiney black underneath it. I used the can stuff, but i think it looks a hella lot better than the original jazz gray also.
I also did the same on a megatron leader, head to toe. he was CHROME. TOO shiney, so I decided an hour ago to modify him into battle damage megs

Dude... how does your nose survive that kind of repaint? I've used enamels before, and the smell just destroys my nostrils. Do you use a facemask?

Oh yes a mask? that's mandatory!

i work in my garage with the windows and the garage door open all the way with fans blowing toward them. i would've died a few weeks ago if i didn't have some ready, and the smell of enamel is puny compared to the prowessed aroma of the lacquer airbrush thinner, umm cleaner.

Wow, amazing repaints! I love the G1-esque colorscheme, including the silver stripe and vents on the shins. Also all the rich detailing, including the Cullen figure!

that is AMAZING! If you dont mind me asking, what kind of paint are you using. Like can you tell me the exact colors and model?, How you painted it etc? i was planning to do a repaint of my optimus for quite some time now. Much appreciated!
