Upgraded with new resin molded hood and rear wing for that more racing look

This started as a Transformers Alternators Ricochet I thought I would make a my version of a G1 smokescreen.
I did a total disassembly to make painting the sections easier, then stripped the decals/paint , primed it sanded it using 1500 grit sand paper in between coats, painted and sanded in between coats, I used a Badger 200 airbrush and acrylic paint with Krylon Crystal clear top coat.
I repainted the folding gun and added Missile launchers, the missile launchers are just static I made them using silicone and resin,I made a mold and re-casted a set using a weapon from another TF.

Nice work with the shoulder missiles, and painting the extra details on the dashboards.

Thats funny, i was gonna do the same to my Alt Silverstreak but i decided not to and went for a G1 Bluestreak repaint instead. I decided against the smokescreen paint scheme because i didnt think the nascar/race car style paint job of G1 smokescreen suited a subaru impreza. This just confirms my fears so im glad i didnt go that route now, BUT you did an awesome job on the paint, and the shoulder missile launchers are great!

To me this is a great car for racing colors I see them on the drift tracks and rallycross.
lots of cool race paint there.

The Ricohet Alt has the right overall body colors the black and white did not need repainting.
just repainted hands, arms, head, car body parts, gun and dash
I might have to repaint some more of them ;)^

walmart had a couple left :-?

Oh dont get me wrong these kinda colors look great on RACE MODIFIED imprezas, but not stock street cars like this mold is. Thats what i meant when i said i didnt think it suited the car.

That is an amazing job man, such attention to detail.

Man I wish I could do stuff like that. And I really wish I had some alternators to do it to. lol

I love the hasbro smokesreen, i wish i owned one as i love rally cars. Infact he would have been a better choice to paint up as G1 smokescreen, as he has the racing spoiler, wheel and skirts.
