This is a commission from a guy who wanted his Energon Towline turned into G1 Ironhide (duh. Also sorry about the pics being so dark, but its night here right now and i have sucky lighting).

I used two-pack car paint for the alt mode panels (not forgetting to add the important gold stripe down the sides ;) ) and enamel for the bot mode parts all sealed with acrylic laquer. All the silver is enamel as well. He came out pretty well despite a few problems with rubbing when transforming, but i have fixed most of that now and he's all ready to go back to his owner. He paid £25 for this repaint not bad i guess.

Looks like the BOTCON version. Does look good though.

This is BETTER than the botcon version! The head is better than the botcon one, which was a tad feminine for me.

I love it!

But yeah, it was the paint. Just proves my point that acrylics suck. hehe.

And Enamels rock..or if only for me.
And I don't wish..I know.
Car paint is great too, but to save time, I buy factory touch up paint.

Nah i prefer enamels too, most of this is painted in enamels. I prefer car paint though. Its just so much easier to work with especially if its in spray can form.

We could talk like this all day, couldn't we?
Anyhow, spray is better, but for the TF's I try, hand paint is good. Speaking of which, I recently salvaged an old matchbox car from certain doom. couldn't let a good car die. :P

Indeed. Hopefully Classics 2.0 will give us what we need.
