I Really like the black repaint. The only suggestion I could make would be some teal highlights, to bring out his details. Otherwise, he's great

Actually, I prefer it without the Teal. I think both of em look great

I was never fond of teal on Nemesis Prime so i just went with silver. He's going on my shelf, so I made it the way I'd like to see it. It's my personsl preference only (I knew this comment would come up sooner of later

)

How did you make the windows red?

Testors model masters clear red. It took about 3 coats to look red instead of purple.

if you want a good white. Go to a local sherwin-williams automotive store and get a 1/2 pint of formula number "GC-2030" and i can almost promise you one coat coverage out of a white...and the reds as well. its a single stage fleet paint urethane based

Really nice work on the ... well both actually. The UM looks basically like the factory UM. Of course the black prime is the unique looking one so he gets all the comments
I am also a fan of the teal on the Nemmy prime, but customizing is just that, making it the way YOU like it.
Two big thumbs up!!

I paid near scalper prices for my Magnus/Skywarp set so I didn't really want to open it, so thats the basis for the Magnus repaint. It sounds almost hypocritical considering almost all of my transformers are opened. I have a feeling someday I'll break down and open it though.

You seem good at this. I have a request for a better UM repaint. I want the truck mode to be blue, not white. And I want the Robot mode's fake grill to be blue. The shoulders should be blue. The forearms should be blue. The upperarms should stay white. The lower legs are fine but the upper legs should be red as should the main body minus the blue window/grill area.
In other words: an UM that looks like UM and not just a white Prime like what e-Hobby did for their G2 Prime repaint.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm glad the forum likes them.
I've been toying with the idea of making his armor to better fit the G1 look. A Classics Jetfire mask could be easily customized. The trick is going to be getting the armor to transform into the trailer. I have a load of Star Wars models that I bought a long time ago from big lots that I can canabalize, I've been waiting for the right project to use them on.
If I can get the armor thing going I'll post some WIP pics. I'm in the middle of another repaint at the moment, but after that I think my mind has been set on a real Magnus. It kind of sucks, because I can see it in my mind already.
Up until now I didn't have anything lined up for my next project, so this has definety set me on a path

Magnus armore-trailer will be an "epic" project.

Yeah, there's a few of us wanting to do that particular project. So far I think Tramp's the only one who's actually done it and completed it, and the rest of us are trying to improve on what he did.
I don't even have the Magnus fig yet, but I've been playing with the armour for a little while using my Prime as a guide; I'm doing some computer models and cardboard maquettes to try and get it right...

Yah, Tramp could be a jerk, but he was one hell of a kitbasher.
