My custom Blackout

First off, let me say sorry about the crappy pics. I don't have the greatest digital camera & it's hard for me to get great closeup shots.

Here is my version of Blackout. I know it's not movie accurate...that is why it's my version. He was painted in acrylic French dark blue-grey on the 'copter body, robot parts painted flat black & drybrushed silver, highlights in gold. His windows were done with clear blue over the dark blue-grey. Scorponok was first painted flat black, then drybrushed silver, highlights in copper & black. His guns are from tank kits similar to Warhammer. I don't remember the exact name of the kits, got 'em from a Suncoast Video store in the local mall.

BTW, my inspiration to do the guns and recreate the pics goes all to Jin Saotome. He does excellent work, and I love looking at his custom work.

I like the color choices. I've seen a lot of them where they stuck strictly to greys, but the blue is nice to see for a change. I would buy one if they looked like that.

Sable haired brushes...different sizes depending on what part I was painting.
