The paint looks awesome! Where did you find that thing! He's HUGE!
Welcome to the boards, BTW. Are you the same Eggshen from Transtopia?

My word that's nice  Do they make all the combiners oversized like that???

That's kinda funny, being so huge and having so little articulation. That is some nice paint, looks even and smooth. How'd ya' do it?

Nope. Defensor is the biggest of the oversized combiners. But as you can see in the last pic, Bruticus and Superion are huge compared to G1 Defensor. The Superion is a repaint as well. You should have seen him before I painted him.

I took everything apart and sanded/primed every piece. The colors are from Tamiya with a flat clear coat on top.

As I said on the other board, nice work Eggshen! You did an amazing job with the paint. If you hadn't posted "before" pictures I wouldn't have known what you did!

Very very cool!

Any pics with the Protectobots in their individual forms?

Next to Prime or any Alts would be awesome! I'm curious how they'd look in a Masterpiece/Alt display.

Also (I think someone else asked too) where did you find these guys in this scale?

Thanks for showing these off! I totally want a set of them now!!!!

I found him on ebay through a link over at tfw2005. He is pretty tough to find.

Individual pics will be coming once I get my repro labels set applied. :)

Hello,

Like I said in my previous reply. Ebay. Someone over at tfw2005 posted the auction link in the ebay section of the forum. I've been looking for one for a long time (they are hard to find) and I made sure I won. Ending ebay price was about 95 bucks. Which is a pretty good deal for this particular KO.

The KO name for this guy is GOLD STRONG KING. That might help you track one down. There are two versions. One that was in a boxset, but instead of the regular feet it had two vehicles as the feet. The other came on a blister card that came with the normal feet.
Look here for pictures of the boxset version:
http://tfarchive.com/toys/bootlegs/gall ... d=defensor

Hope that helps.

Is that a japanese remake (knockoff)? If so, where did you get it? Awsome job on the paint job! Did you use plastic paint?
