Jason/IOIIOO commissioned me awhile back to make him a Classics Nem Prime with the hammered black finish. He liked the final product, and the way the paint looked, so he then commissioned me to try the same look for both a MP DVD Prime with the custom smoke stacks from A3U. He also wanted a revoltech Prime but I'll post that in another thread.

Here are some progress pics from start to finish.










I colored the glass with a sharpie marker, and while it takes really well, it reactivated some of the paint or something, so the one window was smeared some. Added some teal, and silver highlights, and then even colored the matrix in red for the Evil Decepticon Matrix, Repro stickers and done.. If anyones ever interested in one, I do any custom repaint for just 50$ plus shipping. I'll post other customs I've been working on a bit later.

really amazing, but I got 1 question...if he's nemesis prime, and is a decepticon, why would he have pics of SS and megs in his forearms? kinda doesn't make sence to me. It would make more sense if he had autobots on those pics, kinda refering reminder to who his 'targets' are.

With SS and megs, it looks like he's looking at pics of them cause he misses them and might have a secret crush. (strictly opinion though)

Looks great, but I've seen it somewhere..maybe in another topic of yours. But probably the BEST Nem Prime custom anywhere.

Is there really a face behind the facemask, I've heard people talk about it, but I've never seen a pic.

How do you get that finish with the black? Nice job though, i want to work on one myself but i cant afford to buy a 20th anni or dvd prime.

I have to ask though, how the hell do you manage to keep costs so low? Shipping alone on some of these figs must cost a small fortune so how do you cover your labor and material costs for just $50?!

I don't know that he has a mouth under there..It's a mystery he'll take to his grave I guess.

The paint I use it the Krylon Fushion, and it comes in this textured "hammered" black color...Which gives that beat metal everyone dry brushing kinda goes for..This just takes out the whole dry brushing part of it.

I keep the costs low, because frankly I want the commission work, and if I went higher, more people couldn't afford it, so I try to keep prices low, to get more people in. I've never been one in any sale or commission work to try and make a ton of money off them..Although it'd be nice.

The arm pics..I was going for the communicator thing, more so than a target. And it was just fun using Jason's own pics in there as a slight little nod to him. Which he appreciated as I hoped for.

Yea he does, it would be cool to have a spare broken one to display as a corps, that mold is just awesome!

What a great repaint, congrats. I like the detailing you put into the circuit panel bits especially on the back of the forearm (The hand flippy one). The little silver "bolts" you added to the top of the panel are a nice touch.

Any chance of a pic or two in vehicle mode?
