, but for me, a well-made Transformer toy is one where no pieces are removed for either transformation.
But it sure does look nice.

Ever owned a G1 toy? You always had to take bits off of those things to transform them.
I did, but that was ages and ages ago. The movie line toys were the first TF toys I've collected in over 20 years. So I honestly don't remember what it was like to transform the G1 toys.

I agree with TF toys that has no pieces removed. Except for weapons.
This is one of the biggest reason why i stopped collecting G1 toys. (The other reason is lack of articulation.)
Classics line and Movie line seems to satisfy that criteria. That's why these 2 are my favorites.
Another line that fits into the criteria is Binaltech/Alternator.
Yes.
No articulation and body parts (not just accessories!) had to be removed for key points of transformation. That, to me, is ridiculous. Granted, for the time, it was groundbreaking.
The Movie toys...like 'Screamer and Jazz (both of which required modification for hands) are much like their G1 brethren in that respect, but beyond that part...they definitely work well as is. Nothing to remove or disassemble, etc.
The articulation on a G1 figure will make your heart hurt. (No, it'll literally break it because you think of how awesomesauce today's TFs are, then you look at the G1s and it's like a kick in the nuts.)
That being said...I'd gladly have Movie Prime be a parts former (somewhat) to achieve this look. If we can get a tutorial of the mods, I'd be willing to chop mine up. (Even without a backup figure!)
The back was what sold it for me. Screw the lights though, no frickin' way.
