Jin's Classics OMEGA SUPREME!

Omega Supreme! Credit goes to ViagraPrime of Transformers World 2005 for coming up with this guy first! I took a different spin on him and made Omega into a smelting/mining facility. He was made from a Cybertron Menasor body and Energon Landmine head. The electromagnet (which works) and scrap claw were Xevoz parts and I used some various other fodder to make the cannon on the back of his head. The two arms detatch into seperate mining vehicles and lock on with powerful rare earth magnets I got from Gaussboys.com. Inside Omega's chest is a smelting furnace that lights up and flickers so his lil' Minicon buddy can load Decepticon debris for smelting. Top off Omega with one of my custom paint jobs and you've got a new take on one of the biggest Autobots there is.

to quote the great Peter Griffin... "Freakin' sweet!!"

In addition to looking cool, there are no pesky yellow clips to lose

Nice! This is a really original direction you took. I love both this and ViagraPrime's custom, and I'm really glad the alt modes are two entirely separate things. Now then, what' your next work going to be, sir?

I was gonna say this was the most evil Omega I've ever seen...

...but the fire core only confirms it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jin, this and Unicron in one day,...

all I can say is you are a master and have my respect!

This is far better than both the source material, and Hasbro's professional recent attempt at an upgrade!

Then agsin, this is what is to be expected from a master :-?

Rar! Firecore FTW! Thanks guys. And before anyone mentions it, the head is suppose to look more like the Energon Omega Supreme, not the G1 version. Didn't want to rip off Viagra prime's Omega Supreme.

Wow awesome, you got an electro magnet in him?!
Did you make that yourself or are there toys in the US that have that kind of stuff?

That's just badass.

My goodness ... there are no words to describe Jin Saotome.

Soon enough his name will be that word/words. I'm new here, so maybe it's been accomplished already?

Anywho ... can't say a bad thing about any of your work. You truly are better than Takara/Hasbro. Even with the teams of engineers they have, still ... they obviously don't care as much as you do about the potential of each toy.

That is a spectacular piece of work.

It's very different from ViagraPrime's version, paint scheme and all, but both are still so clearly Omega Supreme Homages!

Rar! Thanks for the compliments!

The electromagnet is really just 6 super magnets buried under the magnet base. It can hold Omega to the side of the fridge tho, it's so strong. I make my customs by taking a base figure bought in the US (or imported) resculpt some things, add parts from others, and repaint it with my own style. Instant new figure! If you want to learn how to go about that, check out my TF customizing guide: http://www.angelfire.com/mech/jinsaotom ... Paint.html

Most people know who I am AlienQuik, but I can always use more people recognzing my name. *winks*

And I do want to say that while Hasbro/Takara put out some really wonky stuff (Cybertron Metroplex's Alt mode anyone?) they have great innovation and technique that's applied to their toys. The movie figures blow me away still. Hasbro just needs someone on the collector/fan side as a consultant and actually listen to them instead of a bunch of board members concerned with making the payment on their five Jaguars, not the fact that Sunstorm needs to be yellow.

amen to that. This is why I love the company I work for. We have 'suggest' links EVERYWHERE on our socnet website...we actually listen to the users, and it produces a better product. what a concept.

I like it, Jin! It doesn't exactly scream Omega Supreme to me -- I'd be more inclined to call it a Universe or even a movie version than a Classics one -- but it's still a neat little (or big? how tall is he?) tribute.

I had a great custom idea for you, by the way, but it appears to have slipped my mind now. I think it had something to do with movie coneheads in light of the upcoming FAB Ramjet, but I'm not entirely certain. :(
