Very nice work. I wish they didn't make him so fruity looking in the first place.

Wow, the paint job looks perfect. I'd swear it was legit if I didn't know better. The only thing I don't much care for is the amount of black on the "wings." I understand it's painted that way to emulate the silencer attachment, but I think it would have looked better in the same gray the rest of the body is painted in. Either way, it still looks good.

I love the robot mode, not 100% on all the black in alt mode, but it is still a fantastic job, as Devastator said, the paint is flawless!

How does he look with his "wings" on in robot mode?

Thanks everyone for the comments/compliments so far :D

I can't put them back on, I dremeled off the spot where the pin went through. It was just easier, though in hindsight I wish I had left myself the option to put them back on.

Even though I have "Nerf-tron" and my repainted one, I would still buy Takara's if it was properly colored. I'm a whore for Megatron, what can I say?

Even if the pin that tied them to his butt is removed or cut or whatever, the wings will still clip onto his back :-)

That's how mine is now. I did up the wing section so he could ride it like a hover-board thingy or a jetpack thingy :)

Oh yea, I almost forgot, sweet paintjob as well!!!

Ok, Please give your secret. How did you get get such a smooth paint job? And how did you tape or block off the scupted decepticon sign on his chest? I've been wanting to repaint my classic megs, but I'm not sure how to tackle it.

The paintjob: Plastic Primer -> Tamiya USAF Light Gray -> Gloss-coat.

- NEVER apply heavy coats. Multiple thin coats is key.
- Let Primer fully cure before painting on. Let color layer (in this case the USAF light gray) fully cure before gloss-coating.

Masking: Masking tape and an Exacto-knife (and a steady hand and a lot of patience) :) I cut multiple small pieces of masking tape to cover the 'con symbol. I did the same thing for the face.[/b]

For anyone trying this repaint, the head pops off very easily. I don't recall if you need to unscrew the head halves or not, but it does come apart for painting.

That's awesome!
Looks like he will be battling the al mghty push Spider-Man and the holow giant Venom, in his new and improved color!

I'm planning on doint something like that, just I'll be giving his legs a little read on the handles.

The head does pop out pretty easily. If you look at the bottom of the balljoint it's in, you can see a small rectangular opening--stick a small flathead screwdriver in there to pop the ball out of the socket. You'll need to use a little force, but it'll go. Just beware, sometimes when you pop out pieces like that they have a tendency to go flying across the room :P

They stand no chance against the MIGHTY MEGATRON! ...unless Gears shows up, then they stand a pretty good chance.
