*Updated!* Protoform G1 Prime and Real Gear Rumble!

I took a swing at repainting the Protoform Prime with G1 colors this week after seeing quite a few pop up over the last few months. In each case I notice people paint the majority of Prime in his classic colors. While there's nothing wrong with this, the movie designs don't lend themselves super well to G1 colors because they're more skeletal in structure, compared to the G1 designs that are more solid body parts. This is the case of 'less is more' at work. You can instantly recognize the character due to the colors but they're not completly covering him like the G1 design would have.

Rumble is just another RealGear Meantime repaint. I still have to make the piston arms, they'll show up on his main page later. The meantime mold screams Frenzy/Rumble with the headsculpt to me and I even gave him a little gun-backpack to complete the image. The gold chest circuitry design tips off to the G1 cassette look as well.

Thats the protoform I wanted! I would have bought it in a heartbeat even though he is undersized for a Prime. Nice work again Jin. You're spoiling us with your amazing customs!

Yay, Rumble's arm-rumblers are done! They were made from the arm sections of a MegaMorph Hulk and the weapon of an X-men classics magneto. They're super-springy and can send another TF flying if you pop them. They don't launch off either, just out really hard.

LOL! They go into your pocket in alt-mode, along with the backpack lasers. You can find the full gallery of him on my site, just click the link in the original post. I'd love to make weapons/pieces that turned into other things but I'm a big fan of removable pieces. Proabaly why I liked the original Devastator so much, he had all those parts that had absolutely nothing to do with the constructicons after you broke them up. I love loose parts, heh.

Why they never painted protoform prime like that in the first place I'll never know. Monochromatic paint schemes look terrible on transformers, especially on the new movie designs.
