I like the idea about the doors..So far that seems like the best option to go on there.

wow! this is gonna be frikkin awesome!
One thing I'd recommend when painting with gold (or chrome or silver for that matter)
metallics look best when sprayed lightly on a gloss black base coat, OR - sand out the layer you got on it now, until it is dull, but still gold. Then apply a final coat.

Wow I feel special someone actually used one of my ideas.

Here's the other pics I did.

Actually these are what I made..

But the pic posted, is what the person who commissioned me to do this gave me as a design. My apologies if he "stole" your idea for it. I wasn't aware that he was using someone else's design.

Im not sure anyone can claim it as an original idea. Its an obvious repaint option. I have plans for one to get made. For the wings that you want, simply rotate the doors up 90 degrees. the neck can also be rotated so it is held higher like aproud lion. Id really like to see someone modify one into Ramhorn

It won't be mirrored chrome type gold, no. It'll be a rather realistic type gold paint job on the car..I put the head and neck together last night..It looks pretty cool

No actually I'm flattered. In the world of Digi and kitbashing were all just kinda bouncing ideas off of each other. And I remember someone on tfans.com (where I had originally posted it) say they were going to get it commissioned. Awesome Please just let me see the finished product.

Looks nice in gold after its all put together. What paint did you say you are using again? And did you prime this before you painted it? If not that things gonna chip like a mo-fo on all those joints.

I did light sanding but not a primer layer, I never have done that on any of them. The krylon paint I use bonds pretty well to the plastic after a weeks time to dry.

Oh yeah i hear that stuffs good, cant get it over here though and nothing else works for me except car paint. Acrylics, enamels, they all suck to me now. They let me down again just recently so im not using them anymore.

Very nice. You are very talented, every one of your repaints are awesome. This Steeljaw is the best so far IMO.

It looks great. Nice work!
I see that Ravage can become SteelJaw. Those doors look like wings.

Thanks everyone:) He is rather shiny huh?
So, overnight I came up with this idea--Rick, the guy who commissioned this piece, had mentioned a few times as to wanting wings on the back legs with the missles..Now, not being one for actual kitbashing..I did get this idea here--I saw the Energon Galvatron wings on his back, and they would work perfectly..So, I cut them off, trimmed, and there is actually 2 holdes in the mold that fit perfectly onto the ball joint. Here's where it's at now,

And once I can paint it all silver, and glue them together, this is what I'm hoping the finished piece will look like..

Hello, I'm rick.
I commissioned Steeljaw with Frenzy which looks great.
Thanks again Sami.
Cycrolus, thanks for the digibash.
If it's not too much of a pain, could you digibash a Springer from a Ford Mustang mold. I'm having him done by Sculpt-bot over at TFW.
