Hi folks !
I just joined, I kept getting bugged to sign up so here I am...

Some of you have seen my work before and some of you have posted my work here before, anyway it's not always well received so my only wish is that you enjoy it for what it is, if you don't like it that's OK, it would be unrealistic to expect everyone to like it.
Anyhoo, I'll shut up now and show you my latest :

Dark Awakening Zombie Prime...

I wasn't going for 100% accuracy mainly because the damage changes throughout the scene(s) - In the cartoon he's got damage one way then in the next scene he has damage in a different way....

Made from Hasbro 20th/DVD edition Optimus Prime.
I added extra long smokestacks, painted gun flat black and added weathering details.

Also I switched the arm damage around just cause it works better for the figure.

That's a really nice custom! i can't believe you thrashed a 20th Prime for it. Nice work though. If I had an extra Prime, I'll let you do your zombie magic on it.

Anyway, I think you lack one detail. I think Prime's left eye/optic was supposed to be popping out in the cartoon.

I agree, alt mode pics would be neat. Does he still have the lights on that side? It would be cool to see a head on view of that busted arm through the cab.

Nice, but I would have expected more damege, since I saw a bit of your old work, you could have burned his head a bit like I did on my busted G2 Prime.
I've been wanting to post him for a wile now.

Damn I wish I could afford the DVD Prime.

I kinda dig that it isn't more damaged. Cartoons tend to lack detail ... since there are so many friggin drawings to be drawn.

Still shots though, yeah ... they would provide more detail.

Perfect! Looks like a cartoon, and I'll bet that's what the artist was shooting for. Something tells me ...

It was DVD prime...$40.00 - YOINK ! As for the eye thingy, that was at the very end of the episode when his whole shoulder gets obliterated....I'm making that one as well ! ! ! ...should be done next week...

I never really planned on Alt. mode as it was never in the episode, now that he's done I don't want to play around with him as it's meant for display only so I will leave it up to the buyer to play with him...

Yah that's fun too but with this one was trying to closely resemble Prime from the episode.
Believe me, it was very hard to hold back and "let him off easy" but it was all for the sake of accuracy.

That's a really great piece you've done there! I've wanted to do Zombie Prime for ages now, but I've just never gotten around to it. If I ever see a Prime on clearance maybe... Of course now the bar's been set uncomfortably high!
There are some great busted-up Prime designs in the Marvel comics. The sickest stuff was in the G2 book. He actually gets his mouth-plate ripped off in that one!
But I digress... Welcome to the boards!

I see what you mean, but there's just something too clean about him. I mean except exactly where you placed the flaws, he is shiny and flawless. maybe of you dented it a little? I love the arm, though.

I remember this episode well. There's nothing like watching your favorite robot hero die. Twice.

Talk about sticking the knife in deep and then slowly twisting it.

Great job on your custom, although I was hoping to see the eye socket and a little more damage to his left torso (where Megatron slashed him up during the movie) and to the one side of his face (where the socket popped out)

Apply some store bought paint stripper to really tear into his plastic skin.. it'll burn him and bubble up, leaving an awful mess.

I think if I'd put him under the knife some more.. until I cried...

Fantastic job on his arm by the way. I can't believe you did such a great job! oh wait...
