So this is my Megatron. Obviously I'm already pretty far under way with him. I'm still minor touch-ups here and there to the robot mode. I also still need to spray paint the gun shell/wings silver. Anyway I used Rustoleum American Accents silver, black, and apple red paint and they seemed to work out nicely. Also this is my first repaint... ever.

Sorry if the picture come out junky photobucket uses crappy resizing.

This repaint is just a must.

It takes Circus Force Megatron and de-clowns him back into his bad @$$ self!

Good work!

Circus Force sounds awesome. :P
Anyhoo, that is a good interpretation of G1, better than many other classic Megs repaints I've seen.

Oh wow these fine words from all of you mean alot to me. Knowing this was my first repaint I kind of thought it would come out bad.

Upon further evaluation, I noticed a little uneven texture on some paint, but it isn't bad at all. First times always shake up a little, I should know!
Great one, either way.

This is what Nerfatron should have looked like in the first time. Great work for a first repaint.

Thanks again guys, also I finished painting the "wings" and plan to post some gun mode pics soon. I also think I've gotten him to the point that I want I want so I think I can say I'm done with painting him.

Now onto my G1 accurate Rodimus.

I don't now why everybody complains about Classics Megs looking horrible I mean we should be fortunate Hasbro even got out a gun Megs. Plus I bet hasbro knew that this the toy meant to repaint.Anyway nice job, personally I like the jet pack and would've kept it on but that's just me.

Ditto. Im getting a classics megatron for xmas and i wont be changing a thing on him. Considering how most other classics figures have bright colors and so on i dont understand why megatron is always the first to come under fire at the mocking range.

Don't get me wrong guys, his original colors are fine and all, I just thought that since Starscream got a G1 paint scheme why not Megs? Also I can still attach the wings to his back I just leave them for display purposes. He doesn't balance right with them on, he's back-heavy.

Speaking of this custom I have new pics. Sorry for the bad lighting, I need to make a Light box:

What I did here was took the entire wing section, put scotch tape on the clear green parts and spray painted the rest silver. I let it dry then added in some red detailing where needed.

I plan to take off the orange cap and put a laser inside but that can wait till after I finish Hot Rod.

Yep i gots to get me a lightbox done too. Theres an easier wand much cheaper way to do it too. Just get a big cardboard box, and cut some holes in it, much cheaper than the usual plumbing pipe way.

Your Megatron looks awesome, much better than certain other, overrated re-painters attempts that sell for too much money on ebay.

I cant wait to get this mold for xmas, i have really grown to like him!

I could have lived without a gun alt-mode, but I admit Classics Meg is a pretty solid figure. From what I remember, the only complaint I've ever made has been about the deco, not about the figure itself.

The wings on mine are fine. I've got a display shelf for my Classics figures going, and on top are the Vector Sigma Database I bought from the TFCC, the Target-exclusive Elita-One and Air Raid figures from the movie, and my Classics voyagers; Prime, Jetfire, and Megatron. Stands there in back just fine for me.

This repaint is example of exactly what I meant about the deco before though. I kinda wish they'd have gone with a G1-based deco to begin with. Great work on this one!

When I first did the spray paint thing It almost looked like the paint wouldn't match what I had already brushed but low and behold it all fit together beautifully.

PS: I think I know who you're talking about.
