Decepticon Inferno

Hey guys, once again I'm back with another bash to add!
This time it's Inferno! I've based him around the Beast Wars Predacon rather than any Autobots. Naturally that's his head, the body was donated by Energon Sixshot. The pincers on the right hand were also salvaged from a junker Inferno. I'll provide vehicle mode pics when I'm not so tired/lethargic/lazy.

and now.... "FOR THE ROYALTY!!!"

very strange.
not sure what else to say.
is it supposed to fit into any continuity?
he maybe could have done with somewhat more robotic features to his head. heh. would be funny if the tip of the gun-arm was still on his butt. would make an odd radar-dish weapon. I dunno, like some kind of ion-cannon or EMP something-or-other.

I was thinking I should have incorporated the engines in his ant butt into a new weapon. I also thought of doing something to the head but I didn't want to lose that distinct look he has...

second thoughts maybe something can be done with those top antenae. they get in the way of the transformation anyway

Now that is pretty cool! it could be a War Within Inferno. Except Inferno was originally a maximal protoform. lol

Nope. War Within is G1 continuity.

Asphalt wrote:ohh, when does that happen in regards to us cartoon continuity? From what I have read of the War Within comics it always seemed like completely separate characters, but with the same names.

Nope they are the same characters in GI. The story takes place millions of years before they leave for Earth. It takes place near the beginning of the Autobot Decepticon War.

how's this for a continuity error then. Grimlock and the Dinobots were built by Wheeljack yeah? then why the frack are they in the war within comics if the comics were meant to be millions of years ago???

Because the cartoon got it wrong. Generation One Transformers has had many different continuities. For example, there are majoir differences between the cartoon and Marvel comics continuities. There are also differences between the cartoon and toy continuities Dreamwave used the toy continuity which stated that the Dinobots did come from Cybertron. For instance. If you read Snarl?s bio, it states that he hates his new Earth form. The Dinobots were not created on Earth according to the toys. Grimlock isn?t a dimwitted moron. The cartoon had its own continuity that did not necessarily follow what the bio cards told about each character?s backgrounds. Dreamwave sought to creat one, single, definitive continuity for G1 using the toy history as a starting point and combining it with the essence of the cartoons and comics.

Ever since WarWithin, I just figure the G1 Dinobots were created and Programed with Cybertrons best Guerilla taske force bots in mind. Wheeljack couldn't get them perfect (aka "DINOBOTS SMASH!!") but was able to reproduce 60% or so of their original prsonality. Or if you wanna think of it another way, TM2 Dinobot was a clone of the original one with a completely different spark, but in time BECAME a resurrected orginal Dinobot (more or less.)

Bruticus was created by adding trapped Decepticon Sparks in newly built bodies. Who says that the G1 Dinobots ala cartoon weren't something similiar behind the scenes. And as Wheeljack often proved, his inventions never worked right the first time out. So its possible that the problems inherent in the cartoon versions were a result of Wheeljacks issues in that area.

Thing is, War Within leads to a continuity where Grimlock and the other Dinobots simply came to Earth in another shuttle after the Ark, if my memory of DW G1 V2 is right. The DW comics tie into their own continuity rather than the cartoon... War Within contradicts the G1 Cartoon's backstory in many places anyway. We're stuck with 3 distinct G1 continuities: US Cartoon, UK/US Marvel comic, and DW Comic, which War Within is a prequel to, and which /could/ be the 'composite' G1 storyline that Beast Wars follows on from (it's certainly hinted that that's what DW wanted it to be).

The 'Bash is excellent, my only comment is that he needs a bigger butt :P

GlauG is correct. The DW continuity is different than the old Cartoon continuity and the Marvel continuity. It is based upon the toys backstories as stated in their bio-cards. It takes some elements from both the old cartoons and Marvel comics, but rejects others in favor of what the toys said about each of the characters. Read the character bios in TF:More than Meets the Eye for Grimlock and the other Dinobots. They don?t mention anything about Wheeljack building them, nor of them being built on Earth. They came from Cybertron and had Cybertronian forms. Originally, they went by the name Dynabots as in Dynamite.

Bwahahahaha! Awesome! Makes me think of Antagony, the Botcon repaint...

Not as in Dynamo? Dynamite seems kinda archaic for TF's, but I know nothing of this either way. Don't remember it from the MTMTE books.

I'd like to make an antagony, but I'd need another inferno head

.. or maybe a TM Scavenger head

I love the way this turned out. Never figured that head would match up with the body.

Hey Glaug, any luck with molding a Meister head yet, sans visor?

New job means I've not had much time for kitbashy stuff. The Meister mould I did make comes out okayish, but I'm a perfectionist...

EDIT: I mis-typed "perfectionist". Oiee...

:P Well, I prefer to make my own rather than get takeaway, but that's beside the point. Anyhoo, if I stumble across that Scavenger head, I'll let you know... or I could cast up my BW Inferno one... (Only just remembered I had one again)
