A TIME FOR ACTION

Grimlock..... Tiring of the ineptness of the current Autobot leadership under Ultra Mangus and Prowl,
along with hearing of the rumors of Ginrai being revived in Binaltech form, and paired
with the coming of the Harbinger of Evil Unicron decides the time for action is now!

Not wanting to waste time, Grimlock tries and revives his Lightning Strike Coalition. With Wheeljack?s help
(who himself has plans of changing the current timeline), Grimlock steals his two most trusted Dynabots
and heads to his arctic chamber. Here, using the stolen CR chambers and two hand picked
forms for raw power revives his comrades.

Snarl and Slag are hand picked by Grimlock because of their willingness to fight. Both are far greater assets
in the upcoming crisis than the other former Dinobots. Sludge is far two slow and passive
(a huge weakness in Grimlock?s eyes) to be effective under the current circumstances. Swoop with out the ability
to have flight form has little value to Grimlock, in addition swoop has always been to friendly
with the current Autobot command and thus is more of a liability than an asset.

Slag and Snarl are reborn in a much tougher form in the Muscle cars of the 60's and 70's.

ALLEGIANCE: AUTOBOT
SUB GROUP: DYNA BOT
PREVIOUS: DINOBOT, DYNABOT, LSC

Due to the coming crisis Snarl has been reborn in the shell of a Classic American Muscle car. His form has been hand picked
by Grimlock and Wheeljack to support the sheer raw power of this Dynabot! Snarl?s alt mode is now a 1970 Dodge Challenger TA.
The Challenger was quite a car in its day, indeed it is capable of best many of today?s high horsepower ?tuner? cars.
Re-enforced with current Cybertronian technology, this platform creates a potent machine in Snarl. The Challenger shell
has been hardened and Cybertronian parts added for increased power output. The suspension has been reworked using
modern technology. An added bonus, Snarl still boasts his former solar power collectors (only in robot mode). At Grimlock?s request,
Snarl?s collectors have been fitted into his robot mode form, this allows snarl to increase his power output exponentially during battle situations
(it also keeps him under control in alt mode,
a problem Grimlock has had in Snarl?s previous alt mode)

Snarl adds the ?muscle? or punch that Grimlock needs in the Autobots.
Snarls sheer savageness and willingness to follow orders makes him a feared opponent.
Living only for battle, snarl is pleased with his new body. While not his former Cybertronian form,
this form is far less hideous than the previous pre-historic animal form
that he was trapped in for the last 20 years.

I love how you finished off his shins. Fits in really well with the waist. I'm sure it looks good in alt mode as well. Any chance we could get a pic of the back of the car? Maybe one of the underside of it to see just where that BFG goes?

ha...i hate my backside

i cleaned it up and tried refitting it, but essentially the rear end stayed
the same.

the bfg has no place to be right now. i don't see me fittin it into the alt mode

Hey, you finally came up with something for the shins. It looks great that way! Glad to see it's finally finished. I loved watching this thing in progress.

So what are you plans for Slag? ;)

I've gotta say, I love those shin guards! I was wondering how you were going to deal with the skinny ankles, and you came up trumps! Nice job!

Awesome! There was once a discussion around here about Mad Max style Dinobot Alts...

You've definitely captured that vibe with your Snarl. And you've done it with style to boot! Great work!

coming from a guy who has snarl as his avatar...cool 8)
he kind of slowed in the middle, but the pace at the end picked up
(ah, light at the end of the tunnel). Now i'm just waiting on the RTV
rubber i had to purchase (5 lbs). it won't be enough to do Bumblebee and
Sludge, so i may just start on the sludge mold, my bb still needs to have all wethe parts attached before i mold it.

i'm soo glad it turned out like it did, i thought i'd never finish the legs or the front wheels, but alls well......as they say

Excellent Job!!! :D
I love the style on the legs, it added another excellent G1 feel to Dynabot Snarl amongst the other mods you had done. Absolutely Love It !!! :D

I have to say you did an amazing job on this. I am going ot have ot call shenanigans on the roof though. Does it disappear into trailer land or am I just not seeing it in bot mode?

Love the head by the way.

shenanigans huh?

yeah it's in trailer land....BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE IT.
If you want i'd be more than willing to take an extra pic to show how it attaches to the back
(between the two wheels, has an I-beam shaped piece. jimsloth had a great idea on that one.

it's nice to be called a liar though...................thanks

much respect for the credit, thanks. :D Show some pics with it as a shield as well, but have him holding it straight infront of him like a riot shield as opposed to on the back of his wrist.

wow, I like that a lot. (it on his back that is) I like how much it sticks up above the back of the dashboard, adds a new dynamic to things. I just had an Idea too, what if you painted two gold triangle/cresent shapes on the inside of the top, on either side of the rear windshield, to look like G1? Maybe I'll to a quick photoshop when i get off work tonight.

This is excellent....might just inspire me to do a little bit of reshelling.
At the moment all i'm doing is repaints and little mods until i get my confidence up.
I had a go at the Dinobots myself...
SNARL is a repainted Silverstreak made to look like a rally car kitted out for a desert rally. He has paint apps that make his doors like the the G1 robot modes shoulder spikes.
SWOOP is simply blue prowl painted silver with red racing stripes to match G1 swoops chest. with the legs reversed his spoilers looks a bit like the G1s knee 'claws'
SLUDGE is a silver swindle given an enclosed cab with the spare wheel on the roof rather than at the back
SLAG is my favourite. hes a silver tracks. the missiles look just like horns ,tracks chest piece looks a lot like slags jaw/chest and with retrolabels alt tracks flames on him he looks every bit the flamethower

Love the sheild on his back. Reminds me of the way the original's spikes fold onto his back, he looks very cool.
