Well, here's my first submission for the world to mull over: Beast Wars Shrapnel! I don't know about anyone else, but I thought using the name 'Insecticon' for a single character just sucked. Maybe they lost the rights to the name Shrapnel by then, since I don't think they've used the name since G1 have they? Anyway, whatever the reason, I decided to see if BW Insecticon's form would work in Shrapnel's colours... and I reckon it does!

Personally I'm really pleased with how this came out, except for the paint flaking off in the joints. It's hard to find the good paints like Krylon Fusion over here in the UK, and I'm not sure what the equivalents are, but I intend to find out! Anyway, for now, this is the freaky-speaking, lightning-loving, space-bridge-control-panel-stealing Shrapnel in all his Beast Wars glory!

Cheers guys, glad I did him justice! Yeah I noticed the transformation was somewhat similar too, especially when I did the feet and they end up at the back of his bug mode just like his G1 version

Aside from the orange/gold bit on G1 Shrapnel's body in insect mode it all falls together pretty nicely I reckon

You could fix that by doing a orange design on his shell or just a an orange mark that blends into the black.

Looks great as is though. Nice job.

Aye, not a bad idea, I've got another spare Insecticon here, I might try it some time

That is, when I've done the six dozen OTHER projects I have planned of course...

Thanks! It's just nice to have an outlet for something I love y'know?
