Transformers: Fusion - Blackjack

This is a repaint and mod based on Cybertron Clocker. I quite liked the fig, but the colourscheme was hideous, and I didn't like the weapon, cyber-key gimmick, or the massive exhausts. So I stripped them all off.

Since for Fusion I want a significantly higher proportion of Decepticons to Autobots, I had a rummage through my MTMTE for inspiration, to see what character I could turn him into. I settled on Blackjack.
I took Clocker apart, dyed as much of him as I could black, and set to repainting him.

I made a couple of minor mods along the way - building a spoiler, and filling in his chest detail using PVA; this was to help the chest resemble a vehicle hood, like his G1 form.
The spoiler was made using a strip of thin styrene, held round a former (in this case a plastic film canister) with rubber bands, and heating it with a hair dryer. After it had cooled, I removed it, cut it in half, and used small pieces of thicker styrene to make the supports and end pieces.

Here's the result. Hope you like it!

Micromaster Blackjack? I had to look up that name, as it wasn't familiar. Is he supposed to be black, because your pictures make him look dark green. Interesting. Nice work.Is the windshield supposed to be a different color than the stripe? Wasn't sure if you were going for gold, or just similar to gold. looks kinda yellow. but who knows if you want your car body paint to match your window color exactly...

Thanks, guys, and yes Ravage, the Micromaster lad it is.
He is indeed black, although I have noticed a couple of areas where the plastic (which didn't dye completely black) still shows through (mostly in the deep recesses and where it's difficult to stop parts rubbing). I'll have to see if I can remedy that...
The windshield is a light gold colour (Inscribe, Pure Gold over Caramel), and yeah, from certain angles the base colour shows through the gold, making it look like more yellowish than it does on the fig. The body stripe is Citadel Brazen Brass. I think it definitely would've looked off having the same colour for both...

Good work. Clocker is a fun mold to repaint. There are loads of details that Has/Tak never tried to bring out on the mold.

That really looks great. I'm with you- loved the mold but hated the colors. Great scratchbuild work too.
