I was gonna wait til it was finished to post it, but it's taking too long. I started it about 2 months ago, but have been too busy to finish it. The excitement of this project, my first BT reshell, is more than I can bare. So without any further ado, here it is ( name still pending ):

I've yet to decide on a head too. It has to be fitting to either Marty or Doc. I kinda thought Swerve's head with some minor modifications would work, but he's just too expensive to buy and decapitate. I need a name that suites the head I choose as well. If I go with the Doc styled head, I'm thinking Emmett Prime. Since he also time travels like Vector Prime.

Hopefully I'll be able to pick this project back up in a week or so.

I vote for Emmett Prime. Sounds very cool, and would be fitting for such an Alt.

He must have the goggles, wild scientist hair and that hilariolus expression from BTTF:1 when the small electric car catches fire to the garage!

Seriously though How about Mr. Fusion as the weapon or minicon? And try asking around the forums for the head. Someone may have a spare that they'll trade or sell ya. Keep us updated and good luck!

I have a pic I posted on webshots under primezimm for some of what I called cinematrons. One of them was the De Lorean time machine I had named Slipstream. The story, still in my head (only wrote down a few pages), A tribe related to the Junkions crashes in the Hollywood hills and accepts the forms of the eighties super vehicles.

I think the name should somehow relate or give hint to time travel., Chronos or Slipstream for example.

I'm not sure what head to use, but I agree that it should definately have goggles.

cybertron defence scattershot.... goggles and should be the right size.. a few mods and it would be great.. in my opinion...

That steelskin custom was what inspired me to start kitbashing. Well that and Dev's Devastator.

Hmm... It definitely looks very promising, I can't wait to see it finished.
If I may suggest a name, how about Tempus (Fugit) or Deiram?
If I may ask, what are your plans for the hood? just a blank colour or maybe a central fin at the front like some sort of sundial? Or maybe a working clockwork set in the centre?

IMHO I love all of these names. Can't really picture him as a prime for some reason. Emmett wouldn't be bad, or how about E-Mote. As for the head, I'm really disliking the star-formers heads and how out of place they look on the cool transformer bodies. May I suggest stearing clear of making it look directly like either marty or doc? The car is kind of like a third character that was always with the other two, instead of being one of them.

thats why i suggested cybertron defence scattershot... has a wierdy look to em . kinda like a mad scientists side kick.. with the goggles n all.

I'm not so sure I'm gonna spend $20 just to get a head for this guy. Does anybody here have an extra CDS head to sell me cheap?

BTW, my family members that had been with me the last 5 weeks have gone home. So hopefully I'll be able to start back to work on this project.

Eventually, I'd like to try this project as well. I have a spare BTTF Delorean and, in my opinion, it seems like he'll fit really well onto the Overdrive S2000 body.

I was gonna do this very project...thought about using the Mustang mold though. I think the chest would look better sticking out then flat. We shall have to see when you finish this!

Biggest stumbling block for me to do anything else to this guy is the blue plastic. I really wanted it grey instead. Until I figured out the best way to do it ( paint, dye, or other ), I was just kinda not doing it. I'm very anal and don't like chips or scratches which is why I was hesitant to paint. Well now, the problem is solved. I accidentally ordered two Camshafts from HTS.com. His parts are black, so that will work fabulously. As soon as Camshaft arrives, I'll get back to work on it.
