How did he do it? It's amazing! Two bots for the price of one!

That looks good, but I'd have guessed the Sideswipe mold would've been better for this custom. Seeing as how his back can be modded into a chest.

That's the thing about the Alternator Corvette, His back is the front and top with windshield, just like Counterpunch. I could have made counterpunch work with either side. I wanted to make the red wheels show up with counterpunch, but I liked the way Punch looked with the fake windshield on the front of ravage removed and painted orange. I wish I had a G1 to stand next to them in robot mode, but you can look at the pic of the book to see what I'm talking about. Counterpunch looks alot better in person. I'm still having problems with my camera and close-ups.

Has anyone seen the one by tfmaster? I don't think any real transformation happens from Punch to Counterpunch. It looks like you just turn the bot around. Does anyone know? Mine has some slight transforming in the legs and arms, and I modified the seats to incline a little more so the part behind the seats would lower enough to not block the view of Counterpunch's face.
I really thought more people would be interested in a Triple changing Alternator. I guess I have to come up with a second vehicle mode for my next Triple. You could always take a look at Lampus Prime before the nerf incident. Pic of the aftermath coming soon. :(

Interesting take on the character. And kudos on using a different mold than expected. But IMO, still a pretty bad mold to use.

Counterpunch looks too much like you just turned the bot around. Which I guess that's all it really is. A little extra work altering some parts would have made it better.

The face for Punch looks pretty darn good but Counterpunch's looks wierd to me. I think it's the eyes even though you where going to the visor look.

Also, it's really, realy bland. It kinda looks like you went for an uber realistic G1 paint sceme, before the stickers where applied. Like your Rodimus, I think adding some extra detail paints would have added a lot to the custom.

First off thanks for the opinion I can only get from a Transfan and a basher. Yes I was going for G1 homage bot all the way. I didn't want to add stickers to his legs and thought it looked good solid, but I kept looking at it in vette mode mostly. Now that I looked at it in the gallery I can see areas that need improvement. No stickers though I think I'll use paint. Counterpunch looks really bland, but then so does G1. Any suggestions on where to apply some detail paint on him?
There is a little more to Transforming counterpunch than it first appears. If you know anything about transforming Ravage you know it isn't smooth. This mold came about because of that. I opened the box and transformed him for the first time, no instructions always. It was a pain plus when I was finished I thought it looked like trash. I found a better way to Transform him. Real easy from car to robot, but not so easy from Punch to Counterpunch. I have instructions in the works. When I'm finished I'll post them. By the way have you figured out where I stole my heads from? Thanks, Rodimus

The only thing I can suggest about detail painting is to use your imagination. Alternators have all these great little details molded into them but when you paint everything one solid color, you loose them all. On the Covette mold there's especially good points around the legs, knees and hips.

You just need a little something extra to break it up. A little silver or black can make a big difference. Also, painting eyes does never hurts either.

Thanks for the suggestions. My photo taking abilities aren't that good, but Rodimus has blue eyes. The Punch/Counterpunch "remake" is just like the G1 version which I thought a little strange at first, but the more I look at the G1 version the more I like mine except the details before mentioned. I really am partial, plus the little details I have and am adding make it a really nice bot in all 3 modes. :D
Oh yeah I checked out your chop shop. Kup. Sweet. They are all nice. A++
